Climates and Seasonal Conditions of Altoria

The climate of Altoria varies slightly north and south of the Altor River. On the average, the regions north of the river experience warm summers and cold winters. The regions south of the river have hot summers and cool winters. Altoria experiences precipitation year round with sufficient amounts for crops. The vegetation found is mostly forests and grasses. Winds generally blow across the area from the West and Southwest.

Each season is considered to last for three months. This is reflected in the calendar. The Spring Equinox occurs on the first day of Dawningtide and is considered to be the first day of the year. The Summer Solstice is on the First of Solentide, the Autumnal Equinox is on the first day of Harvesttide, and the Winter Solstice is on the first day of Frosttide.
