-----Pausing he adds, "Were I a selfish man, I would decree that you would not be allowed to leave Oakwood with the hope that evil would not dare rear its head in the woods for fear of dealing with brave and strong souls as yourself. For now, as evening approaches, I demand no less than allowing me to see to your comfort by offering you food to nourish you, comfortable rooms to rest you, our resources to replenish your own, and our esteem gratitude and hopes to go with you when at last you must leave us once again."
-----A ‘here, here’ goes up from one of the advisors followed by cheering and applause from the entire assembly. Sir Greene pauses to see how the adventurers respond.
-----Raven says, "Thank you, Sir Greene, for your hospitality. We could have not slain the Dark cult if was not for you and your brave people." Raven pauses as he tries to find more words, but then just stands back to show he is done talking.
-----Sarah’s ears perk up at the mention of a court wizard. "Sir Greene, your offer is a gracious one, and graciously we accept. I would ask for some time to confer with your court wizard, if I may."
-----Sir Greene answers, "But of course, MiLady. Elandrin would be most honored to meet with you after you have had a chance to rest."
-----The Knight raises his right hand toward a man in blue robes standing to one side. Long black hair frames the man’s face, which features a short beard and calm blue eyes. The man, obviously the court wizard, bows respectfully toward the young mage.
-----Sol just looks on, certain that everything has been said that needs to has been done. He does seem to shift slightly, uncomfortable at the applause, but does manage to keep a straight face.
-----Raven leans forward and says to Sir Greene, "Is the temple still plagued by that globe of darkness?"
-----"Nay, my brave friend," Sir Greene replies with a sad look to his face, "It has been destroyed although I regret to say at the cost of a faithful citizen of our fair town. It was Ariella, the priestess of the god of magic. The Curate Zharta is now doing what he can to reclaim his temple."
-----The Knight then instructs his chambermaids and gentlemen servitors, "Please see to our guests’ comforts. They are to each have one of our finest rooms. Dinner shall be served in one hour. They may want to take that time to bathe, rest or whatever they wish to do to prepare."
-----Smiling, the Knight of Oakwood says to the adventurers, "If there is nothing else, I shall let you go to your rooms and will look forward to dining with you in one hour’s time."
-----With that, the adventurers have a different gentleman or chambermaid escort them to their own separate room.
-----An hour after they had arrived, the adventurers enter back in the Main Hall from their rooms. The sun by this time had set and the dark blue twilight seen through the windows provides a beautiful background to the great light stone interior which is lit by a large fire in the mantle and the dozens of candles lit atop candelabras. The Main Hall with its colorful wall hangings and suspended banners really looks impressive and elegant.
-----Three long tables have been arranged in the Hall with one set at the front of the room on a raised platform. The other two tables are arranged at the side. Many of the advisors, which the adventurers had seen during the day, are also being escorted in by chambermaids and gentlemen.
-----Sarah appears absolutely radiant wearing a beautiful yellow gown with streams of golden lace woven throughout it. Her hair has been carefully arranged to fully complement her dress. She smiles happily as she walks in on Sol’s arm.
-----The young warrior, whose smile is equally bright, wears his chain armor and surcoat but somehow all signs of the past few hectic days have been erased from his wardrobe. The links in his armor shine and twinkle like stars as they catch the firelight and his surcoat looks new! The deep dark blue appears to rival the deepening twilight outside and the yellow trim seems so brilliant that it could glow in the darkness. Even his boots catch the glow about the Hall.
-----Raven wears a long dark green coat with a white shirt underneath. His tan colored breeches are tucked into the tops of tall shiny black boots. He strides in boldly with Rinda on his arm and they momentarily look like barbaric nobles.
-----The huntress wears an elaborate emerald-colored dress that wonderfully fits her form, though Rinda hangs on to the front part of her skirt so she doesn’t trip as she walks along.
-----Sir Greene stands behind the head table at its center and ushers the adventurers to sit by him. Raven and Rinda are seated to his right while Sarah and Sol are to his left. The other advisors and guests of state sit at the side tables. All-in-all it appears that close to three dozen people are here in the Hall.
