-----The warrior glances quickly at the row of prisoners before once more regarding Rau'Triel, "It's convenient that ye stopped by actually. We need t'be heading out, an' we can't afford t'diminish our numbers t'take care o' these. The sooner they get t'Oakwood and face trial th' better. Are ye, by any chance, able t'suggest escorts fer these captives? I'm sure being tied up and all, they would be of little trouble."
-----"Excellent," Rau’Triel says with an impressed look on his face, "Hmmm, the charge will be banditry, eh? Yes, let me gather some men of the village. I will need to take them first to the temple so that I may properly prepare the documentation to present them unto the Courts of Oakwood."
-----"You are to be commended for your bravery and your assistance to the people of Visp," the priest says looking at everyone, "If you could but wait here, I shall fetch one of the village’s most reliable men and within the hour, he shall take charge of the prisoners. If I do not see you before you leave our fair village, take care! Your names shall be entered into the Chronicle of Records as those the village can claim as protectors and friends." With a salute and flourish of his warhammer, Rau’Triel rides off toward the temple.
-----"Destine, that guy is as bad as Rinda." Sarah thinks, not at all impressed with his 'all that is law' comments. It is all she can do to keep from bursting out laughing during all of the heroic gesturing that follows.
-----True to the Priest of the Law’s word, within an hour’s time, there approaches eight hardy men to the camp. They wear the clothing of woodsmen and hunters, but there is no doubt they are strong and capable with the weapons they carry.
-----One man in front appears to be somewhat of the leader and the manner of the others with him hints at the respect they show him. Standing over six feet tall, his dark hair is long and mingled with his black beard. He wears clothing of green and tanned leather and carries a large axe over one shoulder. When he speaks, his voice is husky and his eyes shine with a deep brown.
-----"I am Rolanger. These men and I are seeking those who Rau’Triel has asked to help. Are these the prisoners we are to take to the temple?" He points at the tied men and his brown eyes squint in suspicion. The other seven men also glare at the bandits.
-----"Yeah, the bandits are the guys who are tied up. Sorry if that's confusing." Sarah says to the woodsmen when they finally show up.
-----Sol nods and smiles, "Yep. That's them." The Gorian's smile drops, yet a gleam of humour still remains in his eyes, "No need t'be too gentle. They've had a nice long rest an' eager t'be going I'm sure."
-----Sol collects his things together and mounts up on Thunder, "I guess we need t'be going as well. So, safe journey Rolanger, and the rest o' ye. Tell Rau'Triel th' same."
-----Sol looks at his friends to see if they're ready.
-----Raven glances over to Sarah and gives her a puzzled look. The puzzled look soon changes to a frown, but Raven doesn't say anything. Raven swings smoothly into his saddle. "Best be on our way."
-----Rolanger pauses as Sarah speaks and the expression on his face is unreadable.
-----Sol quickly says, "We appreciate ye doing this fer us, Rolanger. This is our mess that we should be cleaning up, but we can't afford th' time. Thank ye."
-----Rolanger relaxes and smiles, saying, "Rau’Triel has said you have been helpful to us and seek an end to our current troubles. If these men have been a cause of some of our troubles, then we gladly do what we can."
-----Rolanger pauses and looks at Raven and Rinda. One of the men behind the woodsman whispers something. Rolanger’s eyes settle on Raven and he says and asks of the ranger, "You are from Hearthorn? Who are you, sir?"
-----Raven leans forward in the saddle to study the man for a moment. Raven current mood is fowl to say the least, but somehow Raven remains civil. "My name is Raven and this is Rinda. We live in the Hunter's forests, not in crowded cities full of impolite people."
-----Raven looks over at Sarah and then back to the man in front of him, "Have we met before, friend? I can't seem to place your face if we have."
-----With a smile, Rolanger says, "You are Raven of Hearthorn, the Hunter."
-----The other men behind the woodsman smile and nod, murmuring to each other. The young man behind Rolanger steps up and bows, saying, "I am Gregor. I brought my son to the Mid-Spring Gathering last month at WilderHaven. You gave my son some pointers on tracking and bow shooting." With a wide smile, he adds, "He hasn’t put that bow down since."
-----"Raven," Rolanger says, "when next you and your friends are in Visp, let us feed and shelter you. When you are in Oakwood, think of Visp as your home."
