-----Beneath the folds of her cloak, Sol sees studded black leather and she carries a curious silver rod in her hand pointed down toward the ground. Though she has a crossbow and a walking stick at her side, she appears not to be threatening.
-----"Hail, strange warrior," she begins in a mild-mannered voice. "Are you the leader of this attacking force?"
-----Sol gives a short, respectful bow from the saddle as he snorts in humour and replies, "Strange, eh? I share command wi' another, but yes t'yer question in most ways. Excuse me lady, but if ye intend t'stay around here, at least find some place t'keep safe until these slaving sods are seen t'. I can't stay an' talk while my companions still fight."
-----His free hand reaches up and claps firmly down on his helmet, assuring its fit on his head, nudging Thunder onwards at the same time. He looks over his shoulder once to make sure the mysterious woman does indeed head back into the shadows.
-----The young woman smiles in relief that Sol seems to mean no harm. "Oh no, I don't wish to stay around at all," she eyes the glowing soldier curiously for a moment, then looks to the south as the Gorian moves off. "I will go see if the other slaves need any help." She then begins to move toward the buildings of the thorp.
-----"Tell my companions that Sol vouched for ye... it'll make sure they don't see ye as one o' th' enemy." Sol calls over his shoulder before headed to rejoin Strolum's detachment.
-----Meanwhile, back in the small thorp, Raven looks back to the slave wagons and then up the road that Sol and others rode up. He then turns quickly towards the wagons and calls over to Rinda, "How is Lovan?"
-----“Lovan is badly battered,” Rinda replies, “but he should be able to mend in the next few days.”
-----Raven walks up to the closest wagon and says, "We are here to free you. Once you are freed, stay together. Else we cannot protect you. Do you all understand?" He looks at their faces, "Is there a leader among you?"
-----As Raven speaks with the people in the wagons, a few guards occasionally make assaults toward the wagons. They are, however for the moment, held back by Whisper’s arrows and Garrison’s battleaxe.
-----The prisoners, for the most part, shy away from Raven or stare blankly at him. All appear to be women and children.
-----Unconcerned with what is occurring below him, Whisper moves to the apex of the roof, trying to get a wider sense of how the battle is carrying on beyond the immediate field.
-----Raven frowns, "Stay calm. We'll free you when the slavers have been taken care of." He turns to take care of the guards trying to get to the wagons.
-----Very quickly, Raven rushes toward a few stray guards that seek to challenge the hunters around the slave wagons. As he moves, he watches Garrison fend off two guards with his great axe. The woodsman then slices through one’s armor, sending the foe to the ground.
-----Rinda grunts as her club stops a soldier’s sword from stabbing her. The Huntress then dislodges his club and slams it into the man’s knees. The soldier quickly buckles to the ground crying out in pain.
-----Satisfied with what he sees, Raven concentrates on two more guards. With a gleam from the torchlight, Raven’s short swords flash out quickly taking down both opponents.
-----Now as the Hunter scans his surroundings, he is surprised to see how little attention his band of scouts and the slave wagons are receiving from any remaining guards. It now appears that any remaining guards are rushing off toward the west.
-----As Raven looks around, he sees Whisper poised atop the building with his drawn bow in his hands. The elf aims his bow high toward the west.
-----Eyes sharpening beneath his hood, the Elf draws to his cheek, lets fly, and has his second arrow in the air in the blink of an eye.
-----Briefly pausing to confirm whether or not he hits, Whisper slides off the roof, whistling to get his companion's attention and pointing west.
-----Garrison is the first to react. Nodding toward the elf, the woodsman says, “It looks like most of the excitement has moved beyond this village. Sol and the others must be there fighting!”
-----Looking at Whisper and Raven, he adds, “Some of us might want to stay here and decide what to do with these people in the wagons. Maybe some of us ought to see if they need help on the western road!”
