-----Those closest to Sol can see the Gorian's eyes flare first in indignation, then in anger. He holds his hand up briefly to the group to indicate he'll be back momentarily, before striding purposefuly up to the bound captive.
-----Just before Sol reaches the bound man, the woman shakes her head, then smiles playfully as she jabs a finger at the man's chest. "No, I won't untie you. And I can't betray one I hold no allegiance to, unlike Lord Sintor to his King!" The woman then leans on her staff and rises, dusting off her robes.
-----With some effort, the Rager eases his hand away from the hilt of the Lathanian blade, but his fists are clenched firmly as Sol verbally attacks the man, "Ye throw th' word traitor around easily, but as far as I'm concerned, it's Ravenhold tha' is a traitor to it's own people. Believe me, we know full well what dark forces yer masters can bring t'bear against us, but it won't stop us from doing what's right by the folk ye seek t'enslave an' th' lands that Sintor would see conquered."
-----He starts to turn, finishing with what is now a tirade, but seems unable to leave it at that. Rounding on the man again, he roars the next words, seeming unmindful of the audience, "An' what kind o' men are ye t'cage women an' children, fer use as hostage no less? Now how about ye keep quiet, unless ye've something useful t'say, or I'll have ye left fer th' wolves."
-----This time, Sol is able to control himself once more and stalks back towards Raven and the others, muttering to himself, "Poor beasts'd probably just choke on ye..."
-----The bound man wisely keeps quiet for now.
-----The gray-haired woman raises an eyebrow at the bound man, then studies Sol as he turns and walks back. After a moment of thought, she follows and steps up to the group, looking up at the warrior.
-----"Sol Herron, please pardon me for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Jeilin Syl, of the Star Wanderer," she says in a quiet voice. "I had traveled to these regions to research some ruins of interest, when I was compelled into the service of Lord Sintor." A trace of sadness briefly reflects in her pale eyes, but she otherwise retains her placid demeanor. "That was a few months ago. Now, I have you and your group to thank for my freedom, and I'm starting to believe I am here for more reasons than I thought. If you will allow me, I wish to join you to help."
-----She then looks at Sol and each of the others in the group in turn for their response.
-----Sol inclines his head politely to Jeilin, and replies in a respectful tone, "Any help yer willin' t'provide is appreciated, priestess, an' I fer one welcome ye. Any information ye have on what operations both in small and large scale could be useful."
-----Now regarding the others, Sol mulls over what to do, "Garrison, I'm not sure about splitting up. It may be feasible fer some o' ye t'move ont' Kulendra, but I've already vouched t'these people that I would see them t'safety. Also, if we did split, either Raven or Garrison would need t'be wi' th' group finding a trail fer th' freed folk."
-----The Gorian shrugs, almost casually, "I know Jyan's will, an' I've told ye mine. Where'd th' rest o' prefer t'place yerselves?"
-----Garrison looks around as if counting over the people. “I don’t want you to go back on your word,” the woodsman replies to Sol, “but I was thinking I could take these people back to the village where we met Jyan. I could probably do with three other of our party, say Strolum, Pil and Dilton.”
-----Looking into the darkness of the east, he adds, “That village is back fifteen miles and we’d have to get around that village Jyan called East Bend. But we still have Lord Howrun’s army heading this way.”
-----Turning back to Sol, Garrison says, “Sol, I think you, Raven and the others ought to head toward Kulendra. If that place is where these people are being taken, more time cannot be wasted.”
-----Strolum grimaces at this, but he begins nodding his head. Pil simply frowns and folds his arms. Dilton stands to one side while he attempts to bind a wound on his arm.
-----“If we get these people safe,” Garrison adds, “we can catch up to you.”
-----"I was not told much of the army's operations," the priestess replies, lowering her voice so that the bound serjeant doesn't hear. "But before you arrived, there were many more wagons of peasants passing through here to the west during the day, likely turning southwest to Ku."
-----"Whatever is happening there, the more time that they have would mean more readiness for their plans, and more slaves and hostages when Silvergard's army arrives."
-----Looking back to the east, she says in a lighter tone. "Now as for the way back, I can help to study the maps and plot the path."
-----Sol hands the various maps over to Jeilin, and says to her and Garrison, "Between th' two o' ye, I want ye t'work yer travel route. Let me think a moment." Turning away from his companions, the Gorian stares in contemplation at the refugees.
