-----Dilton holds back as he helps the two women through the increasingly stormy weather. Lovan holds his warhammer toward the clouds and passionately yells, “O Great Rager, Show us the Power of your Fury!”
-----At that instant, a huge bright bolt of lightning discharges from the clouds and strikes the roof of the large structure blasting some of the roof section from it. Everyone is nearly thrown to the ground!
-----Steadying herself with her walking stick, Jeilin pulls up her hood with her other hand against the wind. She turns to Garrison and asks, "Let's go find Sol - and did he say anything before leaving?"
-----“Dammit!” Garrison yells as he suddenly grabs Lovan by his tunic and spins him to face the woodsman. “If Sol was in there, it might’ve hit him! Stop calling that damned lightning!”
-----“Fool!” Lovan said, sneering back at him, “It was not my doing! The Rager is closer than you think!”
-----Garrison clinched his jaw and shook his head. With a frustrated yell into the wind, he flung the storm priest from him.
-----Lovan kept his footing and pointed his warhammer back at the woodsman. “Do not tempt your fate! The Fury of my god is here at hand!”
-----“Yeah, talk it up,” Garrison answered back. Calming down somewhat, he turns and answers Jeilin. “Just to bring you when you caught up,” Garrison yelled back through the now growing gale.
-----Just then a series of flashes and deafening blasting sounds occur as multiple lightning strikes descend around the village.
-----“Take cover!” Garrison yells and immediately the entire company heads for the nearest abandoned longhouse.
-----Hurriedly following the others to the nearest shelter, Jeilin keeps her eye on the large structure for any signs of the Gorian. For the moment, she stays put to see if the lightning storm will subside, before suggesting to move house to house closer to the town hall during lulls.
-----“Hope nothing’s in here!” Garrison quickly says as he smashes open a door leading into a longhouse. The door gives way under his assault and he jumps inside with his axe at the ready. Quickly scanning the interior and seeing nothing threatening, he yells for the others to enter.
-----Within the building, Jeilin sees crude furniture probably used by humans the last time they were here. Most of it had been broken and strewn about on the dirty floor, perhaps by bored goblins.
-----Outside the storm seemed to continue in full force. The wind and rain blew against the structure while booms of thunder seemed to shake it at its foundation.
-----Everyone crouched down toward the floor; all except Lovan. The Storm Priest stood in the middle of the floor, his eyes seemingly glued to the ceiling. His face seemed all aglow as he smiled. “The Rager is here! He knows we are here!” He said after a bit.
-----After a few more moments, the whistling gale seemed to die down outside. The bright peals of lightning and the thunderous crashes also faded.
-----Just before everything was quiet in the sky, Garrison jumped up and said, “Let’s see if we can find Sol now.” The woodsman then led everyone outside once more.
-----As they headed around the longhouse, they saw the large structure that the lightning had struck ahead of them. Just as Garrison led them to within twenty yards of its front entrance, Sol walked out. The young warrior looked as if he had seen battle. Appearing lightly wounded, Sol walked stiffly and his chest armor looked as if it had been dented.
-----“Sol!” Garrison yelled as he ran towards him.
-----As Lovan approached the Gorian warrior, he remained silent though his eyes narrowed as he scanned the features of Sol’s face. “The Rager was here,” he said with a smile on his face, “He has found favor in you.”
-----Garrison was equally quiet at first, although his expression was more of shock. “Sol, what did you run into?” he finally said. “Did the goblins ambush you or did you run into something worst?”
-----Sol waved off Garrison's question as he walks slowly to where the rest of the group stands, "No, no ambush. I think. A bell-bound red-eyed goblin who vanished when I dealt with him. Th' Great Rager was kind enough t'make sure I was here t'talk t'ye now." The Gorian looks over at Jeilin with a worn smile and asks as he stretches seemingly stiff shoulder muscles, "Did ye find anything o' interest t'ye?"
-----"Why yes," Jeilin replies, as if coming out of a reverie. "The coins are old Gorian Imperial, I think." A moment of awkward silence is then broken by, "A vanishing goblin? Mmm." Her eyes settle on the woman they found earlier.
-----"Gorian imperials in Gorian ruins seems sound enough t'me." Sol says as if he's still coming out of a daze. His eyes follow to who Jeilin looks at and he straightens his stance slightly as he concludes, "And we should be gettin' ye out o' here. We'll escort ye back t'th' village if yer still happy wi' that. As fer th' rest o' us, unless ye've seen something else urgent, we should be headin' on t'Ku."
