-----With the quick announcement from a guard, the doors to the outer chamber are opened and in walks Lord Howrun; his fine suit of studded leather hinting at his preparedness for battle. Roderon, Sula, Mulador and another half-elven ranger are in his company. Lady Evalyn and Lord Marshall Lone as well as all of the guards bow before him. The Lord of Silvergard merely casts a stern glance about.
-----Immediately following his advisors through the portals are other guards, which appear to be from the town watch. Some of them appear to glance nervously at Sol and Raven and especially at Lovan.
-----Lord Howrun places his fists on his hips and looks at the Lady Seer. With a commanding voice that rings through the chamber, he asks, "Lady Evalyn, do you fare well? There were reports that you could be under attack."
-----"Yes, my lord. I am very well," Evalyn replies, "I am happy to report I have been reunited with my daughter." She then introduces the young mage to Lord Howrun and all assembled as Sarah Ryn-Volquist.
-----For a moment, the Lord of Silvergard registers surprise and strangely looks about; his gaze finally stopping at the two wizards from Hearthorn. He then turns back toward Lady Evalyn and Sarah and bows, saying, "It is an honor to meet your charming daughter, Lady Evalyn."
-----One of the guards edges around to confer with the Lord Marshall. After a moment, Lord Lone addresses Lord Howrun while pointing toward Lovan, "My liege, there is one among their number who follows the Rager. He has casts fear spells on my guards . . ."
-----"He is pardoned," Lord Howrun interrupts, though he carries a disgruntled expression on his face toward the Storm Priest, "as are all of those that hail from Hearthorn."
-----"Know this," the Lord of Silvergard continues, "not so long ago, this very one you point to helped defeat the vilest of dragons which menaced the Silvery Woods."
-----Just as Lovan begins puffing out his chest, Garrison sighs softly just behind Raven and Rinda, "He would have to mention that, wouldn't he?"
-----"I decree from this point on," Lord Howrun says, "that animosities between those in this room shall come to an end. We are somewhat in debt to our friends from Hearthorn and though I am embarrassed to impose on guests, I am inclined to accept any help they offer against the enemy."
-----"Lady Seer," Howrun then speaks to Evalyn, "have the humanoid armies begun to move forth from the wretched strongholds that border the cursed lands of Ravenhold?"
-----"Not as yet," Lady Evalyn answers with a strangely hollow voice, "but with the Grace of Destine's eyes, she has shown me the evil shall venture forth in two days."
-----"Lord Wizard," Howrun then says turning toward Zepharon, "would these young charges have the wits to act as a scouting and first strike force?"
-----"More than capable," Zepharon answers simply, but solemnly.
-----The Lord of Silvergard then turns toward Sol and Raven. He nods and says respectfully, "You have some knowledge of what we need on behalf of Silvergard as well as Hearthorn. Would you be willing to lead your company as a first offense into Ravenhold?"
-----Sol bows his head formally to Lord Howrun, and then replies, "We've pretty much decided that will be our next course o' action, an' I think we're all itching t'get moving again. Though, on my part, I need t'know . . . " The Gorian's head swivels to gaze towards Sarah, and his face registers a somewhat nervous uncertainty, " . . . are ye still with us, Sarah?"
-----Sarah, who had stood upon the entry of Lord Howrun, curtsied formally upon his acknowledgement of her existence. She was a little put out that he obviously did not consider her a decision maker in the group as he only asked Sol and Raven. 'But it's always like that with Lords once they find out who raised me' Sarah reminds herself and resists the urge to pout.
-----Sarah extends her hand and places it over Sol's. "Of course." She says softly in answer to his question. There are many people in this room who would make decisions for her. She feels some butterflies in her stomach as she realizes Sol is the first to ask her what she wants to do. 'I couldn't leave you Sol,' Sarah thinks to herself. 'I'd follow you anywhere.' She smiles at the warrior sweetly and withdraws her hand, restoring the formal atmosphere she had been trying to create.
-----"Well and good then." Sol replies happily, as he once more turns to Lord Howrun. His tone is businesslike again as he confirms what he last told the man, "We're set, an' we can ride out soon I imagine. There are a few things t'sort out here, though . . . " He trails off, as he looks over at Zepharon, Lady Evalyn and finally Sarah, all in turn.
-----Raven nods and then says to Lord Howrun, "Stopping this evil threat is why we're still here. The sooner we can head to Ravenhold the better."
