-----The four warriors quickly comply just as the hovering man sheathes his own weapon. As he is lowered to the ground, the man simply nods to Sol and Jeilin.
-----The other warriors that stand behind the heroes continue to sternly watch them, tensed for any trouble.
-----Sol returns to his seat, and resumes his ale. His eyes rarely leave those of the man.
-----Jeilin gives a nod instead to the Kulendra guard standing by. Then sighing quietly, as if overcome by the exertion, she sits down as well and returns to her beloved reading.
-----The man who hovered turns on his feet and heads toward the back exit of the room. The four warriors follow him casting cautious looks over their shoulders.
-----Immediately, the blond haired warrior stalks forth toward the exit; five of his companions with him. They move gently as they can by the onlookers, but their faces hold firm, grim expressions.
-----Sol sighs softly, under his breath, wishing himself elsewhere at the moment. Slowly he takes a deep pull of his ale and stands. The Gorian then makes his way to the same exit, his pace indicating he is following the others to observe, not rushing to interfere.
-----As Sol heads out the back door of the inn, he is aware that Raven is just behind him. As they walk outside, they see the five warriors who backed the adventurers inside looking about; probably for the offending man’s party. The blond haired warrior looks in their direction and nods silently to the Gorian and the Hunter.
-----Suddenly from the stables, a galloping of horses is heard. In the next moment, five riders ride hard from the other side of the stables heading toward the southern side of the village. It is the hovering man and his companions.
-----“Damn them!” the blond haired warrior curses, “Up to no good I bet!”
-----His fear seemingly confirmed, the warrior quickly judges whether it's quicker to race around the building, or back through it. Sol sprints as quickly as his armour will allow, to where Thunder stood. Once mounted, he would race in pursuit.
-----Sol tears off toward the corner of the building with Raven in pursuit.
-----“After ‘em!” one of the warriors yells and the five fighters begin running toward the stables.
-----By now, Raven was cursing under his breath as he ran. The two heroes quickly round the building and there Thunder stands with Raven and Jeilin’s steeds nearby.
-----“Run ‘em down!” the Hunter yells as Sol leaps into the saddle. The Gorian spins his mount as Raven reaches his horse. Thunder immediately races across the village square toward where the riders were last seen. By now the targets would be halfway to the river bridge.
-----Soon Sol and Thunder descend the sloping bank toward the river. By the long hedge, Dilton and his men stand out close to the trail road momentarily disoriented by the galloping riders who are now nearly across the bridge. As his stallion carries him forward, Sol can see the riders moving toward the road that carries them on south toward Black Bog.
-----Dilton turns quickly hearing the Gorian approach. The raspy-throated warrior waves to him.
-----Sol continues his pursuit of the fleeing five, by the most direct route possible. The only reply spared to Dilton was a thundercloud of a grimace, as the Gorian leaned down in his saddle as his stallion launched into full speed. Words of encouragement bellowed from his voice as rider and horse neared the bridge.
-----Dilton’s expression drops as first Sol and then a moment later Raven passes by.
-----Out ahead, Sol and Thunder reach the middle of the bridge. The young warrior tries to keep one eye on the riders as they ride near the southern hill. Sol suddenly sees the riders maintain their fast pace but they appear to slow from a full gallop.
-----He knows their reason for slowing is likely not helpful to him, but it was irrelevant in the end. Sol would take whatever advantage he could in catching up to the fleeing men. Still, on the off chance that this heralded worse news for Kulendra, Sol yelled over his shoulder, "Dilton, make ready t'hold th' bridge, an' send a runner back fer reinforcements."
-----The horseman only hoped that the fellow could still hear him as Thunder's hooves drummed over the bridge.
-----Suddenly, Sol sees one of the riders turn and his companions seem to pull up in alarm. By the time that Sol and Thunder clear the bridge, four of the riders begin charging back toward the Gorian.
-----Sol continues forward, Thunder not at all slowing his headlong rush. The warrior draws his sword in a flash and calls to his god as the inevitable clash happens. He aims a blow at the lead rider.
-----The Gorian sees the four riders make a slight formation before they meet with him. Two of the riders take the front but spread a bigger distance between them than the two that follow making a funnel effect.
-----Regardless, as Sol rides through them, his sword strikes one of the riders. Each of the men miss the young warrior and one of them swings his weapon so clumsily that he falls from his horse.
-----Sol and Thunder’s momentum carries them beyond the four riders.
