-----The one-eyed orc continues to slowly recede backwards up the steps, although his attention is on the advancing Gorian and the Hunter. "DESTROY THEM! KILL THEM!" he screams, his voice now full of anger and desperation.
-----Suddenly, a screech is heard near the high ceiling and something swoops down from on high toward the remaining humanoid leader. Out of the shadows comes a large hawk, its talons open for the kill. One talon strikes the half-orc's face tearing the flesh. The orc throws his hands up trying to protect his one good eye.
-----Having let his opponent know what he was in for, Sol weaves a furious display of swordplay, the blade seeking the orc's various bodily vitals.
-----Raven snorts at the one-eyed orc, but says nothing. Raven takes a moment to study the orc guard in front of him. Then Raven releases a nasty attack right for the guard's groin area.
-----One of the guards is badly hurt now as Sol slashes across the orc's belly. The humanoid takes a step backward; a fearful reaction at the onslaught of the young warrior.
-----With a left hand rip, Raven rakes across the other guard's groin. The orc howls in pain and likewise casts a fearful eye at the blood-covered ranger. With his right hand, Raven brings his sword across cutting deeply and almost disemboweling the orc. Badly wounded, the guard continues to back up while holding its weapon out in front of it.
-----As the orcish guard backs up the steps in front of him, Sol seeks a killing stroke. Instead, his sword ruptures a vessel in the humanoid's upper leg. The orc pales as it looks critical.
-----The hawk flaps its strong wings about the one-eyed orc's face. Once again it tears at the leader's face ripping some skin free.
-----Down on the floor come more sounds of fighting from inside the sphere of darkness and close to Lovan's position. The orcs in front of the storm priest are in dire trouble as some of the enspelled humanoids impede the progress of those trying to get at Lovan.
-----The storm priest now points at a trio of orcs close to him and roars words that sound partly spiritual and partly warning. The orcs attack, but all three miss as Lovan parries two of the attacks and a third orc strikes itself!
-----Up on the stairs, the one-eyed orc bats furiously at the hawk, but misses the bird of prey. The two guards try to strike at Sol and Raven, but they are now weakened enough that their moves are easily defected.
-----At the same time, the young warrior and the Hunter strike. Sol flicks off his opponent's blade and immediately rams his sword up and through the guard's belly. Raven leaps up and punches with his sword right through his foe's throat.
-----As the two guards fall dead, Raven and Sol look up at the remaining guard and the one-eyed orc. The last guard holds his blade out in front of him. With a frightened expression, he backs away from them. The guard almost seems trapped between the two heroes and the leader who struggles with the hawk.
-----Sol rushes up the steps and delivers an overhead swing of his sword at the last guard.
-----Raven follows with attacks on the last orc's legs and belly.
-----Sol slices across the guard's chest, tearing chain armor and flesh. Raven slashes in with a wide gash to the guard's belly. Within a few breaths, the orc is badly hurt.
-----Just above the two heroes, the one-eyed leader brings his shield up fending off the attacking hawk.
-----With a second rip, Raven tears into the guard's belly, spilling its dark blood on the steps. Now in a critical condition, the orc looks to do little more than defend itself.
-----The three orcs closest to Lovan suddenly yell out in pain. They work to grab off their helms revealing flesh that is blistered. The storm priest turns his attention to the mass of orcs in front of him. Once again, he raises his warhammer and shouts, "FEAR THE FURY OF THE RAGER!" adding "FOR THIS DAY YOU HAVE SURELY MET YOUR DOOM!" Suddenly sixteen more orcs are stricken with fear and run for the shadows of the stronghold.
-----With his left sword, Raven rams his sword up through the guard's gut and the orc keels over dead.
-----A thud is heard as the hawk is repelled by the one-eyed orc's shield, but suddenly Sol is there. The Lathanian blade slashes across the orc's midsection, injuring the evil one.
-----The last live orc on the stairs suffers another combination of attacks from Sol's longsword.
-----Raven attacks the one-eyed orc with a blur of twin blades.
-----With its one eye squinting in pain, the orc quickly pulls its shield in front of it. The Lathanian blade bangs loudly off it. At the same time, Raven strikes the shield with his right sword, but the shock momentarily stuns his arm spoiling his attack.
-----Sol quickly returns another attack that jabs under the shield and badly wounds the foe.
-----Raven tries to battle past, but he can't get his sword past the orc's shield.
