-----The Dread Pirate detects out of the corner of his eye, the two Oakwood guards surprised by another creature.
-----The Dread Pirate, sort of relieved that it isn't an earthquake after all, but under the circumstances, not exactly delighted, attempts to plant his cutlass squarely in the back of the oblivious werewolf.
-----The cutlass catches the flickering light of the fireplace as it is raised. With a quick decisive thrust, the blade finds itself slicing into the muscle of the middle of the werething's back. The monster howls out in pain and surprise echoing the fading cries of the poor soul who was pulled under the building.
-----With the blade still protruding from its back, the wolfen creature begins grasping frantically at its back trying to ease whatever attacked it.
-----"Damn these creatures!" the blond Oakwood guard yells as he misses the werecreature facing him and Abram. The rising creature gains the flooring and swipes the air in front of the guard with one claw. Abram thrusts his sword into the monster although the blade appears not to bite.
-----"Tis like the others we faced with Sol and Raven!" Abram shouts to the other, "our swords have no effect!"
-----Another werecreature faces off with the Lady Paladin. A raking claw comes into contact with her arm drawing a surprised grunt from Xavia. With a determined frown, she quickly recovers and stabs into the creature drawing some blood.
-----"By Moradin's . . ." Runik begins to curse, but his oath is cut quickly short by sharp claws finding his arm. The dwarf's warhammer seems to have no effect on the monster's hide, but Brandel's sword cuts deeply into the monster.
-----Gritting his teeth, Runik says as he raises his hammer to ward off further attacks, "Blast! Me hopes I be not gittin' the wolfin' curse!"
-----Seeing the cutlass still stuck in the creature's back, the Dread Pirate grimly hangs on and begins wrenching it about, not with the intention of freeing it, but with the idea of wreaking more damage on the werething's back. The Dread Pirate yells at Runik, "if ye can't do any good against it with yer hammer, then back away from it and get the molten silver and fling that on it. That should slow it down."
-----The monster attempts to roll but the Dread Pirate stays with it, actually climbing onto the werewolf's back. The thing wildly thrashes at the air as the Pirate slowly drives his weapon deeper.
-----Suddenly Seth appears at the door leading to the stables. He quickly moves to prepare a spell.
-----Across the way, the two Oakwood guards flail away at the monster they face. Even though they strike the creature, they are frustrated as their weapons fail to do damage.
-----Just as the werecreature raises its claw, a large sticky mass strikes it, engulfing it and the two astonished guards. It pastes the three struggling forms in its mass anchored by the window and close to the fireplace.
-----Xavia and her opponent battle back and forth neither one scoring a hit on each other.
-----Just as Brandel raises an angry howl from his werewolf by stabbing it again, Runik gathers the meaning of the Dread Pirate's suggestion. A look of recognition comes over the dwarf's face as he charges toward the two remaining soldiers by the fireplace. "Th' damned silver!" he excited growls as he grabs a large cloth, intending to remove the melting pot from the fire.
-----The two guards stand with shocked expressions at a gaping hole in the floor where one of their companions tragically disappeared through.
-----Excited shouts and oaths to Joren are heard as the priests and the soldiers in the stables rush up behind Seth.
-----Never in all his days expecting to ride an enraged werewolf around the inside of a tavern, the Dread Pirate tries to make the most of the moment by brutally wrenching his cutlass about in the werething's back, in an attempt to steer the thing in circles. Meanwhile he yells at Seth, "Now would be a good time to kill this thing. Or get Kazel, wherever she is. Tell some o' those soldiers to stay in the stables though, this might be a diversion to get our horses."
-----Suddenly, Gimplefwick's werewolf trips and lands into a table causing the Dread Pirate to take quite a knock. However, the Dread Pirate gains a grip on the hairy neck while hanging on to the still impaled cutlass.
-----The three forms in Seth's web commence to struggle with the entangled werecreature fighting more frantically.
-----A whine of pain is drawn from the wolf that Xavia faces as the paladin runs her sword into its shoulder. It wildly bites at her but its jaws snap on nothing but air.
