-----One of the guards looks up at the approaching adventurers and yells, "The enemy! Attack!" The guards on the docks prepare for battle as the trio in the boat seems to frantically speed up their work.
-----Sarah quickly casts a spell sending three magical discs towards the guards hacking at the second boat. "Stop them fast!!!" She yells. "Krondor must have already escaped!"
-----Raven growls and then rushes forward. With swords whirling, Raven tries to move past the guards blocking his way.
-----The magical discs wheel and soar over the heads of the guards rushing from the dock. Two of the discs strike their targets. One guard in the boat is thrown down on his back and he stares up at the ceiling of the chamber with a dazed look. The second guard loses his balance and tumbles over the side into the dark water. The third guard bends down trying to tear a board loose and unwittingly escapes the magical disc intended for him. The multi-colored disc swoops up and begins traveling back toward Sarah.
-----By this time, Raven, Garrison and Rinda have met the guards rushing to oppose them. The guards brandish hand-axes and bear shields on one arm.
-----Rinda quickly jabs in with her short sword, but the huntress's weapon gets roughly blocked by a shield. Unable to tighten her grip on the weapon, the sword is hurtled out of her hand. She quickly makes to grasp her club.
-----Raven savagely slashes in twice like a caged beast. The ranger quickly sends two of the rushing guards to the ground bleeding and dying.
-----One of the guards swings out at Garrison. The woodsman barely lets a smile slip from his lips as he catches the puny weapon with the blade of his own battle-axe. Raven rips across the man that Garrison holds decreasing the number of guards down to four.
-----A guard desperately swings at Rinda and barely misses her as the priestess of Thales steps back. Two more step forward to confront Raven but they find it hard to hit the hunter through the flashing short swords.
-----Garrison's battle-axe thuds loudly against a shield as another axe widely misses Raven.
-----The one unaffected guard in the boat continues to rip at the vessel.
-----"Enough." Sarah mutters, casting yet another spell at the guard in the boat. Thick, sticky webs blanket the small ship and the surrounding water. With a casual flick of her index finger, Sarah sends the remaining disc hurtling towards the guard facing Rinda.
-----Raven quickly readies his bow and fires two arrows at the last guard.
-----The sticky mass of webbing suddenly engulfs the mid part of the boat encasing the struggling guard within. The boat suddenly seems to list to one side in the water.
-----An arrow leaves Raven's bow gravely wounding one of the guards in front of him. The man instantly drops where he struggles to hold onto his life.
-----Garrison's opponent misses him as the woodsman redoubles to strike.
-----Rinda's club booms as it strikes the shield her opponent carries. At the same time, Sarah's magical disc strikes this man dropping him to his knees where he remains wobbly and stunned.
-----"Damn you!" Garrison curses out as his battle-axe thuds into a guard's shield. "Can't you see you're losing?!" The admonishment seems to be fully communicated to the guard as he shoots the woodsman an uncertain glance over the shield.
-----The last guard facing Raven strikes out at the ranger missing him. In turn, Raven shoots at him but the shot goes wide as the hunter is forced to avoid the foe.
-----These last two guards that are standing begin expressing nervousness as their stance becomes more defensive.
-----Raven growls at the guard that tried to hit him. Seeing the boat is in danger, Raven raises his bow over his head and yells, "Take his soul, oh mighty bow."
-----Raven's arrow flies straight and true striking the struggling form within the webbing. The globby form of the guard then relaxes and falls within the webs.
-----Raven throws his bow and Garrison pushes forward as the two remaining guards give way. The expression they have tells that any resistance on their part is over.
-----The hunter then bounds down the steps to the small dock. As he looks inside the web-covered vessel, he can see water quickly filling it. As water begins flowing over one side the boat quickly submerges with its bow sticking up out of the water.
-----Behind Raven, however, the other keelboat looks undamaged.
