-----"Well, is it moving this way or not?" Kazel asks Marast.
-----The elven mercenary looks at the Dread Pirate with wide eyes. He then shakes his head no to Kazel and quietly dismounts. He then motions to everyone to be quiet as he starts off toward the place he pointed out. Marast draws his sword and stalks through the tall weeds moving without raising a sound at all.
-----Kazel quietly follows the elf matching his silence.
-----As they approach the first ruin of a building, a short section of stonewall juts out about ten feet. As Marast places his back against it, he begins to ease his way carefully around its corner. Kazel grabs a hold of the stone and finding easy places to grip, she quickly makes her way up the side ten feet. As she reaches the top, she is able to peer over the side.
-----The Dread Pirate looks at Marast as soon as he dismounts and whispers, "Nar, I was just kiddin ye, Marast. Stay on yer horse and leave the sneakin to those that are best at it. Kazel and I will go check it out. Just be ready to cover us with that bow o' yers if somethin follows one o' us back."
-----However, the Dread Pirate finds that Marast and Kazel are already over by the ruins taking positions around the jutting wall.
-----The Dread Pirate begins sneaking off in the direction where Kazel are Marast are, slinking from shadow to shadow, trying to get a look at the beast.
-----Seth looks at Albert and asks him to scout over the ruins. In the meantime he remains on his horse waiting for someone to tell him it is safe. The crow quickly takes wing and flies over the ruins.
-----Seth fiddles with his crossbow while waiting for someone to tell him something. "uahh hmm, Might I suggest we all have our bows and cross bows ready?" he says to those waiting with him.
-----Seth looks out over the ruins and appears to be listening to something... He suddenly turns to the mercenaries and motions for them to dismount. "Make the horses secure. Whatever is in there, it has a cave. Be ready to follow in, with weapons and armour ready!" Seth begins to wonder if there may be some paintings or art works left in the ruins and decides it would be prudent to search the place at a later date.
-----The three remaining bodyguards dismount. Runik prepares his crossbow and brings it up in both arms ready to fire. Brandel pats his sword at his side and then notches an arrow in his bow. He then helps Krord move the horses over by some small trees. When they are ready, Krord unsheathes his sword and balls his other hand into a massive fist.
-----Suddenly, Seth sees Kazel atop the wall look as though she is stabbing downward at something on the other side.
-----Kazel then climbs down the other side of the wall. In a few moments, Seth and the three bodyguards see her appear around the side of the wall where Marast and the Dread Pirate stood. She then signals them to head over.
-----Seth, Runik, Brandel and Krord then approach cautiously but with as much haste as they can. When they round the corner of the jutting stone wall, they see Kazel and the Dread Pirate standing over the sprawled body of a creature perhaps nine feet tall and with long greasy greenish hair. It wears animal furs worn to a dull brownish color that covers its dead yellowish skin. It lays motionless facedown in the grass and weeds. A large stain of dark blood has flowed down the creature's back from a point just below its neck.
-----Near it also lies the body of a dead sheep. Just beyond the creature is a huge hole covered with vines but reveal stone steps that lead down into darkness.
-----Satisfied that the thing is truly dead, Kazel begins to search the big humanoid.
-----Marast stands to one side, his bow already drawn, while searching the immediate area with his eyes. Krord suddenly becomes very alert as if anticipating more of the creatures. A wide smile comes across his face while keeping his sword in his right hand and his left balled into a fist.
-----Seth peeks at the creature from behind the shoulders of the mercenaries. "Well, what is it, and Krord what are you smiling about?"
-----He looks at the covered hole, "I suppose someone had best check in there as well - never know what we may find."
