-----Seth's bolt strikes one of the dead dislodging one of its rib bones. It does not slow its motion as most of the bony dead have almost reached the platform.
-----With a savage growl, Krord rushes forward to stop in front of one of the dead gaining their footing. With two massive slams of his fists, the half-orcish mercenary nearly disintegrates the dead thing; its bones and dust littering the smelly water.
-----Kazel sighs and strides forward onto the platform with her long sword drawn. Nothing to do now but to hack away and hoping nobody else notices. She concentrates on the skeletons that are trying to gain a foothold and not free to attack as they push themselves up with their hands.
-----The Dread Pirate, regaining his senses and seeing that he is grossly outnumbered, leaps back all the way to the door and quickly reaches into his pack. Emerging with a vial of holy water, he raises it up into the air, then smashes it down on the surface of the ledge in front of him, in the hopes that it will dissuade the encroaching skeletons. Or at least burn their feet as they approach.
-----Seth grimaces at Abbar's comment, "Ok, maybe we should save your potion until later anyway. I am sure there are more and nastier undead than these."
-----Seth readies the crossbow and aims at another undead.
-----Kazel slices at the first pair of undead nearest to her. Just as she swings, they draw rusted metal swords from below the level of the water. The half-elven rogue misses as a skeleton ducks a bit. Both dead things thrust at her with their corroded weapon missing her as Kazel jumps to the side.
-----Two of the undead crawl up in front of the Dread Pirate. As they step forward, their bony feet begin to smoke and sizzle in the holy water. There is little indication that they notice as their feet begin to dissolve. The first dead thing misses the halfling as it brings its sword down. As the one next to it jabs in, it loses its footing, figuratively and literally, as one of its legs collapses making itself prone.
-----Another bolt leaves Seth's crossbow shattering a rotted hand from another undead. It then continues to try to crawl up on the platform.
-----Krord's fist plows through the chest area of one skeleton blasting its backbone in half. The upper part of the thing falls to the platform where it still holds onto its weapon. It weakly jabs at Krord but misses him. The massive mercenary spins and punches out at another undead only to miss as the skeleton fails to strike him.
-----Brandel avoids the advances of two more of the undead. As they try to climb up, the young man brings his sword down, shaving into the arm of a bony appendage.
-----"They be feeble!" shouts out Runik as he avoids the jabbing of more undead. As they likewise begin climbing out of the water, he swings his warhammer crushing the arm bones of one. The skeleton falls forward pushing on up with its feet.
-----By now the platform looks like a tangled mess of fighting people, skeletons and scattered bones. Only one of the undead has been destroyed.
-----The Dread Pirate, relatively unconcerned about the footless skeleton, begins slashing at the other skeleton, trying to keep it in the radius of the holy water that was spilled on the floor.
-----Gimplefwick's cutlass chops through the dead thing's knees in front of him sending it down to the floor of the platform. It fumbles and tries to strike back but it is useless as it and the other undead struggle in the puddle of holy water.
-----Kazel's sword connects with one of the dead, breaking a chunk of bone out of its collarbone. In its retaliation, the thing misses her. Suddenly the half-elven butcher feels pain in her lower right leg as another skeleton brings its sword to bear on her. The blood begins flowing from her gash.
-----One of Krord's opposing skeletons misses the big merc just as Krord slams its skull with a mighty crushing blow. Its bones collapse and lie still. He turns as the other dead one misses him and he fails to connect with it.
-----A dead thing scratches Runik's arm drawing an angry growl from the dwarf. His warhammer swoops but does little other than to cause both of his opponents to step back.
-----Another undead tags Brandel with its sword drawing blood on the young human's arm. Bringing his sword to bear, Brandel finds his weapon parried as he tries to lash out.
-----Another of Seth's crossbow bolts fires but splashes into the disgusting water.
