-----Gimplefwick continues to poke and prod at his wounded belly in sick fascination, "Maybe if we dump some holy water into it, it'll kill whatever the evil enchantment is. Or maybe we can find Abbar and yank out his fingernails til he coughs up a cure. And if'n he doesn't have a cure, it'll be fun just to yank out his fingernails anyway. I'll just trot up to the end of this passage and check it out."
-----Dread begins gloomily walking up the passageway, hoping for a way out that doesn't involve going back through the sewer.
-----"I don't think there's any way back to the sewers unless Abbar comes back and opens the door," Kazel says as she heads back. "And don't worry about being a zombie. I'll make sure to cut your head off before nightfall and remember you by shrinking it and putting it on my store shelf. In a birdcage if necessary."
-----The Dread Pirate purses his lips thoughtfully at the thought of his head being stored in a birdcage, "Narrr, I don't think I'd really care fer that much either. I'd like me head to be able to roam free across the tundra, livin a life o' careless insouciance and wanton depravity. Insofar that me disembodied head would be livin and all. I'll be sure to let ye know if'n I start havin a hankerin fer nice, fresh, juicy brains though."
-----The Dread Pirate suddenly glances at Kazel's head and licks his lips, then coughs uncomfortably and shuffles from one foot to the other, "Errmmm, maybe we'd better hurry up and get out of here."
-----Gimplefwick shoots off down the tunnel at a fast but slower pace than before. He holds onto his belly fighting off the stinging sensation of his stab wound.
-----Kazel and Runik then make their way back to the chamber where Seth awaits with Brandel and a now mobile Krord!
-----The destroyed corpses have been moved back into the shadowy corners and the top of the platform is no longer slick. The small treasure trove has now been packed into three box-like chests.
-----Seth stands at the back of the chamber examining the door that Abbar had slammed on them.
-----Brandel and Krord turn as Kazel and Runik enter. The dwarf immediately quips, "We be lucky, Lass. We gots back after the clean up duty."
-----The huge mercenary smiles and pats Runik on the back almost knocking him over.
-----"Aye, ya big lummox!" the dwarf growls, "Yer movin' n' we be one big happy family agin!"
-----Suddenly, the Dread Pirate races back into the chamber slowing just enough to avoid any slickness on the platform. As he tiptoes, he realizes the spell has expired.
-----Seth can see that Gimplefwick sports an angry red gash in his belly that oozes blood. Brandel immediately rips a swath of cloth off a sack and wraps it twice around the halfling's middle.
-----Kazel picks up her weapons and torches on the floor and also the skull helm. She sees the pirate returning and asks, "Did you find an exit?"
-----Seth motions at the red gash on Gimplefwick, "I have one healing potion there in the pack. Brandel was waiting to see if someone needed it more than him. Krord," he addresses the huge warrior, "Do you think you could assist me here by kicking in this door?" He casually indicates the stubborn door with a vague gesture.
-----The Dread Pirate shakes his head, "Nah, there be no need fer kicking the door in. There be a tunnel leadin upwards just a bit down the passageway the bald guy ran through. As fer the healin potion, I'm not that badly hurt. It is infected though with the plague. That's not such a good thing. Since this plague seems to be magical in nature and works to create undead, maybe we could dump a bit o' holy water in me wound and possibly kill it."
-----"Try it anyway," Kazel says to Krord. "There might be things on the other end of the tunnel. Not that I want to find out right now, though."
-----While Krord is doing that Kazel does a quick check of the room to see if there are any surprises and other exits.
-----Seth nods at Dread's comments and then with a sweeping gesture indicates the chests. "There were some scrolls in there. Amongst the scrolls was a spell 'dispel magic'. It would take me some time to scribe it to my spell book and learn it, but it may help with this infection you have if it is magic based."
-----"Stand ye back!" Runik warns as Krord prepares himself. "It be a good thing, you told 'em to kick it in. He might'a picked one o' us up to try rammin' through!"
-----The huge mercenary lifts his foot high and slams it into the portal. The door clangs with a metallic sound, but fails to budge. Krord lands from the force on his back where he immediately grabs his lower leg growling in pain.
-----Brandel stands nearby reaching to help Krord up. "Are you all right?" he asks the huge one.
