-----The Dread Pirate puffs himself up at Sarah's tirade, "Aye, I know that ye think I am a king. Joren knows, I am truly great. But yer flattery will get ye nowhere, we have a job to do first and I can't tarry for some cheap dalliance with ye right now. Maybe after this little venture is over I'll see if I can find the time to satisfy yer wanton lusts, but we really have other things to do right now. You'll just have to try to control yerself fer awhile." Humming a happy little tune, the Dread Pirate clambers onto his pony and waits for the others to get ready to ride to Olv.
-----Sarah’s draw drops. A few noises come out like she is about to start saying something, but she can't think of anyway to reply. Finally she says, "You're completely insane." Sarah looks at Gimplefwick like she expects him to jump from his pony and try to eat all of them alive.
-----A small smile creeps its way onto Sol's face, but it disappears in a flash. Briefly looking at Raven he says, "I'm more inclined t'stay here than before. Something that can kill those creature without leaving any other indication of its presence...Well, it's more concerning than the creatures were themselves."
-----He walks over to his horse and places a hand on the arch of its neck, "However, I realize that most o' ye want to move onto Olv. I'm not sure there is anything more we can do here anyway. Did anyone manage to quickly check those dead creatures bodies we just found, before we came back here? I know that the ones we originally killed had nothing, but one of these others may have been leading them."
-----From atop his saddle, the Dread Pirate grins toothily at the young sorceress, "Aye, now, look ye've gotten all upset just because I've jilted ye. Castin aspersions on me good character. I've a good mind not to let ye sample me pirate booty at all now. That'll teach ye some manners."
-----Gimplefwick then turns to Sol and replies, "Arrrr, I think it best if we leave this place. I didn't get the chance to check out the bodies o' those dead critters back there, but I doubts that they had much on 'em. And the only thing here is that shield up in the tree. I don't have much use fer it, but one of ye might want it."
-----Seth puts away his harp and mounts up. As Dread and Sarah begins to play out their romantic banter Seth takes out his Harp and plays romantic interlude music waiting for the others to emerge and mount up for Olv.
-----The adventurers ride south once more as the sun slowly descends in the western sky. They keep their distance from the woods casting a wary eye toward the trees on their left. However, everything around them seems normal in the late springtime afternoon as if their last encounter were a bad dream.
-----The birds seem lively as they fly swiftly over the flat plains as they dive for insects. The air carries a fresh fragrance from the flowers blooming in the meadows.
-----Seth’s crow, Albert, flies ahead of the riders generally ignoring the other flying species. Occasionally, he drifts back to land on Seth’s shoulder cawing loudly as Seth tries his best to steer ‘El Binko’.
-----Finally, a half-hour before the sun sets and twilight begins to take the eastern sky, they come within sight of a large village built along the forest’s edge. Standing away from the other houses and buildings is a windmill, its huge arms at rest with not enough breeze to move it. A trail leads between the buildings heading deeper into the woods. As they enter what can only be the village of Olv, a first quarter half moon is high overhead.
-----The riders pass a blacksmith’s shop as the owner closes the door to his stable. Light from candles and oil lamps begins to glow from the windows of other homes and shops. Just beyond an inviting tavern on the right, is a larger building apparently an inn of some sort. On the sign out front is a picture of a finely made chest with a hammer in front of it.
-----As the party approaches the inn, Sarah suddenly smiles in a grin so wide it’s almost stupid looking. She reaches into her pack and pulls out her owl, Chessie. Sarah holds Chessie up to her face for a second, kisses his beak and then lowers him down to her waist where he starts eating beef jerky out of a pouch on Sarah’s waist.
-----"Isn't he too cute?" Sarah asks no one in particular.
-----Looking up at the Inn as if just seeing it for the first time, Sarah turns to Sol. "Should we go in, or what?" She asks the young warrior.
-----The Dread Pirate visibly brightens at sight of the tavern, "Shiver me timbers, a watering hole at last. I'd be willin to bet they'd be likin some entertainment, eh Seth?" Gimplefwick rubs his hands together and eyes the tavern voraciously. He momentarily flicks his eyes at Sarah's owl, then looks away, "Arrrr, it looks about the same as when we saw it at the Chamberlain's. Mayhaps a bit fatter now." The Dread Pirate stops at the tavern and starts to dismount, "It's been a dry and dusty road. I could do with a drink or two."
-----Sol glances at the inn before replying to Sarah, "Yeah, I guess so. Unless yer intending to sleep on the ground tonight. I'll get rooms and stabling organized." He dismounts and walks in long strides to the inn.
