-----A growing look of anger registers on Lord Lone's face. "Search around the perimeter!" he shouts as his guards turn to exit and carry out his orders.
-----Anger smoldered barely beneath the surface of Sol's awareness, and it was certainly beginning to show on his face. Still without answers, Sarah having been whisked away and now witnessing troops trying to apprehend Zepharon, the young warrior was seriously considering abandoning any sense of civility.
-----"Lord Lone, what is th' meaning of this?" Sol spoke loudly and firmly. Zepharon had spoken of nothing to fear, and truth be told, there was nothing here that would begin to invoke that feeling in the Gorian, but just to find out what was going on . . .
-----The Lord Marshall pauses long enough to face Sol. The good natured and friendly expression the Gorian had seen on the man in the tavern is replaced by a stern business-like tone. He then turns toward the opening intending on exiting the tent.
-----As he brushes by Sol and Raven, Lord Lone says, "The Lord Wizard Zepharon is wanted by the Fief of Rushfen for kidnapping."
-----As soon as the Lord Marshall says those words, Sol shudders. Inside, he feels as if a hammer slams into his heart. An iron like grip snaps out and seeks Lord Lone's arm as the man brushes by the Gorian. Sol's face registers a shocked certainty as he utters harshly, his words betraying the grim picture his mind paints, "It's Sarah, isn't it?"
-----A statement once said echoes through the warrior's mind. It was a passing comment at the time, when someone mentioned how alike Sarah looked to the Lady of Rushfen . . .
-----The Lord Marshall darkly faces Sol as the young warrior stops him. "You will release me," Lord Lone hisses and Sol senses Raven defiantly tensing beside him.
-----"We do seek after the welfare of the one named Sarah Night," the Lord Marshall continues, as he wrestles from the Gorian's hand. "Perhaps it is time for you to meet with Lady Evalyn."
-----"You knew! When you spoke to me . . . " Sol growls back not only releasing the Lord Marshall, but sending him off with a small push to the arm. Paying the Lord Lone no more mind, the Gorian mutters to himself, "Secrets, damn bloody secrets."
-----One dark look at the gathering of friends and other troops is given, before Sol starts stalking off towards the main keep.
-----The Lord Marshall quickly disappears, his focus back on providing an adequate search.
-----Sol is then joined by the entire company of adventurers, including the three guards from Oakwood. Raven growls on the way, "This is a hell of a way to manage a place bound by nature."
-----Lovan seems to relish in the anger shared by most of the group as they silently, but purposely make their way across the town toward the long wooden building with the three-story tower. "A storm is brewing," he mutters as if he himself is building in rage.
-----They pass the large trading post, which seems to be doing a large active business. Just outside the building, a man dressed in raggedy clothing watches the party as it stalks past with wide eyes.
-----By the time the adventurers pass outside the tavern, they are met by a troop of the town guard. The guard is made up of a dozen men on foot armed with swords and wearing leather armor. Two more soldiers wearing studded leather seem to be sergeants for the troop and they are led by a man on horseback wearing chain armor. Curiously, at the rear of the troop rides a man wearing robes.
-----The lead officer of the troop rides up to Sol and Raven who leads the procession of the party. "If you are those from the Estate of Hearthorn," the officer says sternly, "I am here to escort you to the Lady Evalyn."
-----Sol doesn't break stride, only nodding to the officer with a curt reply, "Escort away. Th' sooner I see your lady, th' better fer my sanity."
-----The places they pass now seem unremarkable as the official offices of the town lie ahead. Very quickly the party with their escort make their way to the front doors of the long wooden building as the tower seems to loom overhead to the left of the structure. It is here that they are stopped by the official leading the troop.
-----"Lady Evalyn wishes to meet first with the two known as Sol and Raven," he announces as he stands in front of the doors.
-----Angry murmurs are heard from Garrison, Lovan and the Oakwood guards. Rinda, however, stands calmly even though her face registers anger. She looks at Raven and Sol and nods encouragingly. "Go on," the huntress tells them reassuringly, "we must find out what's going on here."
-----Eight of the guards then lead the two heroes into an entry way just beyond the doors. This chamber is large enough for a large company of troops to stand in and the heroes see doors on the two sidewalls and a set of double doors on the wall opposite the entrance.
