-----With that, the woman lifts her warhammer and intones, "BY THE FURY OF THE RAGER, FEEL THE THUNDEROUS FEAR THAT SEIZES YOUR SOULS!"
-----In the next instant, a blue energy seems to flash from her angry eyes and the woman's light-colored hairs lifts as if to catch the wind.
-----Suddenly, Lovan shrieks as if soundly struck. The Storm Priest stares wide-eyed in horror at the woman before turning his horse and bolting back toward the company of Lord Howrun's troop.
-----Marlexana whinnies as Sarah jerks her horse also around. The mage then urges her horse frantically back as a terror-stricken look holds her.
-----"Sarah!" Rinda quickly yells. The huntress, seemingly as unaffected as Raven and Sol, looks at the two heroes before glancing toward the angry woman above the gate.
-----Sol's demeanour doesn't change as he continues to regard the woman. Now feeling beyond insulted, Sol continues the exchange of words. At least Sarah was safe from any further...potential problems. Though he no longer yells at the priestess, his words carry an ominous edge to them, "Fury of th' Rager? I see little more than a half-baked aspirant playing high an' mighty, and abusing her divine power granted t'her by the god whom we both worship. I yet still serve th' ways o' the Lord o' th' skies...Do ye really believe ye do th' same with yer petty acts?"
-----Sarah, feeling more terrified of this woman than she has been of anything in recent memory, urges Marlexana onwards until she can just barely see the party in the distance...then she stops and stares at Sol...'I can't leave him' she thinks...but she's too terrified to go back...not knowing what to do, Sarah curls up in a little ball at the foot of a tree, shivering like a lost little girl. Marlexana nuzzles her mistress, wondering what's wrong, but Sarah can't respond. She's too scared.
-----Meanwhile, the woman's features lighten a bit and those closest can see how strikingly beautiful she is. A smile crosses her face diminishing her anger somewhat though her continued frustration with those below is evident.
-----"And you?" she calls down to the young warrior, "Are you attempting to be, what? . . . a paladin to the Great Rager? You seek the wisdom of the Great Rager?" Her brow furrows as she continues, "Well, there is no wisdom to seek. The wind does not blow with a plan. The clouds do not think before they gather. They simply do. Take that as the only wisdom you will gather here. There are no ancient scrolls to examine. If you be a true "follower" of the Great Rager, you know there is action without forethought."
-----The woman stretches forth her arm pointing her warhammer toward the gray sky to accentuate her last point.
-----She then looks back at the three still mounted in front of the gate. "Now be gone! I care to speak no longer to you!"
-----The woman then steps back and turns to disappear behind the wall.
-----Raven shows he too was feeling the unnatural fear, but it appears that Raven was able to shake off the effects. Raven growls and starts to speak, but then stops and looks over to Sol to see what he wants to do next.
-----"Paladin? Ancient Scrolls?" Sol asks in confusion to Rinda and Raven, before turning back to shout at the now empty wall of the fortress, "That's not the sort o' wisdom I was after!" He pauses a moment before shouting again, his tone now a bit befuddled, "Farewell priestess!"
-----Sol claps Thunder on the horse's shoulder and makes a suggestion to the pair of hunters, all traces of previous anger vanished, "Let's head back an' find Sarah. Ye know, it's no wonder we keep finding th' storm priests solitary...They'd just end up braining or confusing each other."
-----Raven lets out a loud laugh and slaps his leg, "Damn and I thought Lovan was a one of a kind. Raven looks over to Sol and smiles, "I don't know Sol, the role of paladin might suit you. You'd have to buy some plate-mail armor and train on ways to fight off the ladies, but it might be worth it."
-----Raven chuckles as he wheels his horse and urges his horse forward with haste towards the main group.
-----Sol laughs back as he replies, "If a priesthood thought I wasn't 'suited' to become an acolyte, I believe I'm a long way from meeting any paladin-like criteria." As he rides with the pair of hunters, Sol keeps a sharp eye out for Sarah.
-----As the two hunters and the young Gorian ride back toward the Lord's company, they see Sarah, Mirian, Garrison and Romney gathered with some of the elves in the troop. Lovan is accompanied by two elven guards as he slowly rides up.
-----Lord Howrun remains with the main part of his company just off to the left of their position. The Lord of Silvergard casts a slightly amused look in the heroes' direction.
