-----Her eyes then alight on Garrison and a shock expression comes over her face. "Garrison!" she says covering her mouth with her hand. "You've been hurt!"
-----The woodsman glances at her as if surprised she was talking to him. Clearing his throat, he then starts forward toward the keep telling her with a gentle voice, "Aye, but I'll heal quick." The woodsman seems to limp a bit in his stride whereas before he was walking straight and balanced.
-----"MiLady," Roderon answers Sarah, "You might want to ask the priests here, but I think they consider it good luck to leave feathers before setting off on a journey."
-----"Sarah, how about we make our donation now? Then we can head on inside th' fest hall fer some food." Sol looks around fondly at the surrounding keep, already feeling at ease in the stout inn's confines. Holding out his hand for Sarah, he awaits her decision whether to come now or not, commenting almost to himself, as he does, "I don't have feathers I'm afraid. Thunder tends t'lack them. I hope they don't mind some coin."
-----"I'm not going anywhere until I get clean." Sarah says with dead seriousness. "I don't care if I starve to death and never dance again, I need to take a bath and get my dress cleaned. I'll see you all very soon." Sarah goes off to find out about getting cleaned up.
-----Sol flushes slightly, then nods, "O' course, I'll wait right here." Whereupon Sol proceeds to do just that.
-----"Oh!" Mirian yells excitedly, "I know where to go find a bath!" The dancer runs off after Sarah. The two women are then seen running up the steps and into the keep.
-----Sol, Raven and the others stride after them, more casually taking in the calm and serene feel of the courtyard.
-----As the heroes go up the steps, they see the two great doors of the keep are flung wide open and within is the sound of much talking. A man wearing the clothes of a craftsman exits and hops down the steps past the adventurers.
-----Entering through the doors, Sol and Raven see Sarah and Mirian standing before a desk over to the left side. A man wearing a blue tabard trimmed in white is behind the desk and Sarah goes off to follow a young woman dressed in robes of the same decoration.
-----Mirian turns and escorts everyone through the entrance into a huge fest hall to the right. The place is filled with long tables and a massive fireplace though no fire is presently lit within it. The tables are filled mostly with the entourage of Lord Howrun. Bright blue and white banners provide the décor for the hall while the daylight shines through high windows.
-----Off to one side, Lovan is seen boisterously regaling his tales of dragon slaying to a young man in fancy clothes. The man carries a lute in his arms and listens to the storm priest intently.
-----At the far end of the fest hall, Lord Howrun is seen sitting with a slender woman wearing a short tunic of the Herald's colors. Her golden hair is adorned with white feathers trailing down her back.
-----Young men and girls are moving about the place serving drinks and food.
-----Soon Sarah Night enters the fest hall looking refreshed and radiant.
-----Sarah finds Sol and takes his arm, "Shall we?" She asks him, indicating the feast spread out before the adventurers. Once everyone is seated Sarah digs into the food and eats more than she usually does, saving some good pieces for Chessie. "So what's on the agenda now?" She asks the group.
-----"Enjoy this place fer th' next hour." Sol says from Sarah's side, "It isn't too long a'fore we leave fer Rushfen. We'll get some idea o' what lies in front o' us there."
-----After eating his fill, and washing down his meal with a foaming tankard of ale, Sol excuses himself from the table, "I think I'll just check in on Lovan...an' have a word wi' th' bard. I'll be back soon." That said, Sol gets up, squeezing Sarah's arm slightly, and begins to cross the room to Lovan and his listener.
-----Raven and Rinda also eat their fill of the fine food in front of them. Raven takes advantage of the quiet moment and sits back to enjoy the afternoon. Always on the hunt, the ranger scans the crowd of people around him. He then leans over and kisses Rinda's neck as a sign of affection.
-----"If there's time," Mirian whispers over to Sarah, "maybe you'll feel like dancing." The short blond dancer smiles as she points over at the bard listening to Lovan.
-----"Ah, dancing," Garrison says nodding. The woodsman finishes his food and sits back as he looks at Mirian. By this time, Garrison's wounds have seen more tending and the woodsman looks haler. The dancer's attention is focused, however, on Sarah.
-----Romney stays seated though he, like Raven, scans the crowd within the fest hall.
-----Roderon and the other ranger, Sula, are seated not far from the adventurers. Near them are the half-elven scout and the elven fighter armored in the green-scaled mail. Raven also recognizes many of the men and elves that make up the score of Lord Howrun's archers.
