-----"The stone," the cold answer comes. "Hand it over." The amber eyes are locked on Sol and the assassin seems hardly to breathe.
-----Sol's reply is short and it comes as he bursts into action. Knowing that the assassin has steadied his breath so that his arrow will fly straight, Sol aims to give the foe as difficult a moving target as possible.
-----"Ye want th' stone, I want yer life."
-----These words are spoken as Sol springs forward and to his left side then jinks back the other way, attempting to draw his sword then lunge ahead with the blade aimed at the half-elf's midsection.
-----Already Sol's sure-footed movements threaten to degenerate into pure rage-blinded actions. It takes a special kind of enemy to bring out certain strong feelings in the Gorian, and threatening the lives of his friends is one sure way of doing it...
-----Sol's sudden move pulls the assassin's aim with him as he heads to his left. The arrow is released just as Sol moves right and the missile slams into the wall with its shaft quivering.
-----Quickly with the Lathanian blade in his hand, Sol continues moving forward as the darkly clad assailant moves backward. The young warrior thrusts his hand and the sword slices into the evil one's gut.
-----Turning, the assassin backs himself off the sword and holds his bleeding belly as he moves into the front room. As Sol stands in the door to the bedroom, the assassin draws forth his own sword. The amber eyes narrow and the half-elf raises his bloody hand from his stomach for balance.
-----Aware of the assassin's combat skills, yet never doubting his own, Sol lets the pent up feelings he has about this particular enemy take over. He hurls himself forwards, completely unaware of the roar of wrath that erupts from his own mouth.
-----No clever quips, no offer of surrender comes as the Lathanian sword streaks towards its target.
-----In a flash, the half-elf sidesteps Sol's massive thrust, twirling and coming to a stop as the young warrior recovers his motion. Angered, but tightly focused, Sol reverses his sword arm resulting in a back slash to the enemy on his right. The Lathanian sword bites into the assassin's arm drawing blood from the injury to the muscle there.
-----Without a sound, the foe suddenly thrusts his sword into Sol's right thigh muscle. The blade scraps across the upper leg heavily scratching the Gorian.
-----In the next moment, the half-elf surprisingly sheathes his sword. Lifting his hands over his head, he quickly bends to his left. Amazingly, the vile foe cartwheels past Sol back into the bedroom of the deceased.
-----Sol swings his blade but the opponent moves so fast, Sol only finds empty air. As the assassin gains his feet, the Gorian rushes him. Sol's blade carves through the air, but misses again as the half-elf does a back flip which positions him near the window.
-----Sol continues to rush forward at his nimble opponent, again bringing his sword back in preparation for another thrust. Again Sol does not say anything, his usual quips completely forgotten as the Gorian sees only two things...A red haze and the assassin.
-----Suddenly the assassin swings himself up on the open window. Just before Sol can stab at the half-elven assailant, the darkly clad one vanishes from the portal.
-----Without stopping, Sol, still with sword in hand, leaps from his forward motion and sails completely through the window. Rolling just right as he makes contact with the ground, the young warrior gains his feet and stands.
-----Just as he sees the assassin racing from him along the backs of the buildings toward the south, he hears movement from inside the house.
-----"Sol!" calls the voice of Raven from within.
-----Sol ignores Raven. Not on purpose, but the warrior's vision is overly tunneled. All his focus is on the fleeing assassin. Once more the half-elf runs for his life.
-----Without thought, Sol starts after his prey. As his feet churn the turf underneath, the Gorian whispers harshly in between breaths, "Run like th' wind, scum, for I am th' gale."
