-----"Either way, we spend the morning trying to exorcise a horse." Sol mutters glumly.
-----Raven studies the horse for a bit and says out loud, but to himself, "What the hell, it's worth a try." Raven turns towards Sol, "I got a way with the Hunter's creatures. I'll try to calm it down." Raven scowls, "I bet I'm going to regret this..." With that Raven starts moving towards the horse. As Raven moves forward, he talks to the horse in a low and calming tone, "There ya go. Let us help you..."
-----Marlexana does not resist Raven nor does she change her actions. Her eyes continue to pulsate with a brilliant blue color. The horse does not change her stance, standing very still. She continues to bob her head staring straight ahead and her neighing now resembles a bellowing.
-----Sarah has been almost shaking with fear since seeing Marlexana. "Two demons." She says. "Marlexana. Chessie." The young sorceress swears.
-----"Raven, get away from her right now." Sarah says calmly, although it is definitely a warning and not a command. Looking around she realizes she has no idea where she is. "Whose temple is this, where am I? Nevermind that for now. Call the priests. Please."
-----"Don't hurt my horse." She says, in a way of a general announcement. "What else has changed that I should know about." Looking at Sol with emotionless eyes, she says sternly, "This is a lot more than a horse, Sol."
-----"Did th' glowin' eyes and the mucked up demeanor give that away?" Sol grins foolishly in reply, obviously happy that some sort of former status quo has been restored.
-----Suddenly, Marlexana, upon spotting Sarah, stops her frantic bellowing. The horse lowers her head and faces the weakened mage. Without warning, blue beams of light erupt from the strange horse’s eyes, which strike Sarah. Immediately, a blue aura envelops her, lifting Sarah out of Rinda’s arms.
-----Sarah floats in front of everyone with a worried frightened look on her face. Quickly, though, it is apparent the blue beams do not hurt her and her frightened look begins to vanish. After a moment, a small, relieved smile crosses her lips and the pale pallor of her face begins to fade. Sarah closes her eyes and seems to listen to something. As the blue magical beams begin to lower her to her own feet, she looks fully revived. As the beams fade, Sarah gives a giggle and looks across to her horse.
-----Raven leaps back as the blue ray shoots out from the horse. Raven's right hand grabs the hilt of one of his short swords, "What the..." When Raven sees that Sarah is smiling, he lets go of the hilt.
-----Marlexana seems very alert now, all evidence of a trance gone. The blue color of her eyes remains bright.
-----Kazel watches the entire proceedings with a passive demeanor, save for a couple of slow blinks as the blue beam does its wonders. She stands aside, hands in her pockets, looking like something else is on her mind and obviously waiting for some sort of explanation to come forth.
-----Still laughing, Sarah waves her hand dismissively in the direction of Kazel. "Forget about it!" She says happily.
-----Kazel shrugs and seems not the least surprised at the nondisclosure. "How convenient." She walks away and tends to her horse.
-----Turning back to Sol and Raven it is obvious that the tension Sarah has been experiencing is all but gone. "I know you guys got my spellbooks, right? Course you did. So which way are we headed?" Sarah reaches up to pull back a stray strand of her curly hair.
-----Suddenly she looks down at her waist and swears. She quickly checks her pouches and the ground around her. "Where did my wand go?" She asks, trying not to sound too worried but failing miserably.
-----Seth stares at Sarah. "Your spell books were beside your bed. They should still be there." He moves over besides Kazel.
-----Sol just stares at Marlexana dumbfounded, "Raven, next time I buy a horse, remind me t'ask fer the ones which fire blue rays that heal ye." He jerks his attention off Sarah's 'horse' and starts to lead the other horses he has by the reins to their respective owners.
-----Once complete, Sol says with more than a little uncertainty, "Right. Where do we head next? Do we 'strike the Dark heart', presuming Sarah actually has an ability to lead us to it, or do we stick to the previous day's plan of...south? I still want t'find the children. If only fer piece of mind fer the parents." He finishes on a rather gloomy note.
