-----"I'll run ahead and show you the way," Kazel says as she looks for a back exit or a good time to sneak out the front.
-----Seeing no other exit, Kazel leads Seth and Gimplefwick along the wall behind the stacks and rows of boxes and barrels. They find it easy to maintain their silence as the three workers, including Calron, concentrate on moving the goods off the wagon. As they move toward the front of the building, Kazel stops to watch the workers. When they move out of sight to take some of the goods to a far wall, she signals to Seth and Gimplefwick to move. The trio walks smoothly out of the warehouse into the street carrying the small trunk.
-----Sticking to the shadows, they pass the back of the town hall on their right. A couple of guards stroll around the top of the jailhouse. Kazel also keeps an eye on the taverns across the street. They move on past the two blocks and rest by the town well.
-----After a few moments of checking their bearings, Kazel leads them down another street devoid of people. This time the other side of the market is on their left. They recognize the side of the bakery on their right where they met each other earlier in the day. Beside it is the small alley where the Dread Pirate had liberated a few coins from Picks. Next to it is a shop and house. The sign over the door identifies it as a weaponsmith’s shop. Most of the light along this street comes from the lampposts and from the upstairs windows in the houses.
-----They pass it on by and rest at the end of the block. Looking to their left, they see the street that runs between the two sections of the market area. Halfway down there, they can see the tent belonging to the merchant, Louie, in the streetlight.
-----Once again Gimplefwick and Seth pick up the trunk and move along the next block. They quickly come to the intersection that marks the end of the town market. Across the way, they can see the light shining through the windows of the Two-Door Tavern.
-----Kazel peers through the window of the tavern. "Let's go on to my friend jeweler's place. Too many eyes in the tavern this time of night," she whispers to Seth and Gimplefwick. "It's not too far from here. Shall we go?"
-----Seth is not as strong as Gimplefwick and takes a few extra deep breaths before picking up his end of the trunk.
-----Gimplefwick nods at Kazel, "Aye, let’s go see yer jeweler friend." Gimplefwick carefully peers about, looking for the Watch, then lifts his end of the trunk and trundles off after Kazel.
-----Kazel leads the two hoisting the trunk past the Two-Door Tavern into the street angling toward the northwest. They quickly pass another block worth of businesses and homes. The first one happens to be the home of the flower merchant; the father of the infamous Dora May. The lower part of the house is dark much like most of the others in town.
-----They next pass another small tavern. A drinking flagon is featured in the sign over the door and a hardy batch of voices sing from within. After passing two more houses they approach the last business on the block. Kazel walks up to the front of this house and raps on the door.
-----After a few moments, the door is opened and a gray haired dwarf holding a lamp stands at the threshold. Recognition lights his face as he sees Kazel. Seeing the other two behind her, he quickly motions them inside. As Seth and Gimplefwick clear the door, the dwarf looks out into the street. He then closes the door and with a "Set it down there," points to an open space in front of a worktable.
-----After Gimplefwick and Seth put the trunk down, the dwarf looks at them with friendly gray eyes. He wears an ordinary tabard with a thick belt around his waist. Dark boots come up over his knees.
-----Politely, he tells them, "I am Dofgar, a friend of Kazel’s, and hopefully, a friend of yours. Who are you and what have you brought me?"
-----Seth bows to the dwarf, "Greetings Dwarf Dofgar, I am Sethanales, a friend of Kazel. We have a liquid in our trunk and we are not sure what it is or if it may start to rot. We hope you may be able to identify it for us."
-----Dofgar glances at Kazel with a look of confusion. He then looks back at Seth and Gimplefwick. "A liquid in your trunks?" he asks, "Well how ‘bout I look at what you brought and if you need to visit the facilities out back, go ahead."
-----"This is Sethanales, and the Dread Pirate Gimplefwick Wispybeard whom I met earlier today." Kazel introduces the three to each other, gesturing at the thieves, then at the dwarven jeweler. "And as he was saying, Dofgar here is an old friend of mine." She smiles as she greets the dwarf. "He goes back a long way before the guild."
