-----Gimplefwick gazes at Dofgar, "Well now, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. This may all just be idle conjecture. I doubt it, but it might be legitimate. Anyway, let's put this trunk back in the warehouse and then I'm off to confront one of the counterfeiters and see what's going on. I don't much like the idea of them moving in on our turf." Gimplefwick leans down and grasps the handles of one end of the trunk.
-----Seth reaches down and picks up his end of the trunk, "Well, I guess we’ll be going now, Dofgar. See you later." As Seth tenses his muscles, he wonders if he has built any muscle carrying this trunk, and if it may interfere with his harp playing.
-----The three thieves say their good-byes and Dofgar wishes them well on their trip. With that, they leave the jeweler’s shop and make their way once again through the darkened streets. They find they have no trouble avoiding the watch or anyone else for that matter. The busiest activity remains around the taverns and inns.
-----They successfully stole all the way back to the dock warehouse and find its double doors still wide open. Kazel peers in and sees no sign of Calron, so the three skirt along the eastern wall behind the stacks. They put the trunk back in the same place where Gimplefwick had found it. From their position, they finally see Calron examining some of the goods bought in that he and the drivers stacked along the north wall.
-----Kazel says peering at Calron up and about. "Maybe we should have just taken a sample. I wonder if he knew we left at all." She crouches down again and whispers to Seth and Gimplefwick, "Okay, as I said there were three of those people that I saw. The woman went into the Evening Star, the man went into the Fire Pit, and the last one who's a little dense has a room at the White Unicorn. Do we want to follow them or wait here for their wagon pickup? If they're coming tonight that is." She shrugs a bit. "Or we can just ask Calron who they are."
-----Gimplefwick replies, "Let's ask Calron who they are. Forewarned is four armed as the Dread Pirate Four-Arms used to say. Maybe we can find out who their leader is and then approach that one in private."
-----Seth agrees with Gimplefwick, "Well, we do have to work with Calron in the future, so we may as well talk to him first. He maybe more than willing to aid us in relieving these rude people of their money. Especially after the rude words they gave Calron."
-----Gimplefwick scratches his chin and begins bellowing for Calron, "Calron, ye crusty old barnacle! Get yer scurvy hide over here, or ye'll be scrubbin the deck for a month." Gimplefwick continues yelling for Calron and wandering around the warehouse until he finds him.
-----"Calron, ye old goat, we hates to be botherin ye again, but something has come to our attention. It’s been said that ye've been threatened by some landlubber scoundrels who are up to no good. After we've struck up such a friendship, I simply won't be standin fer somebody threatenin ye. It offends me sense of dignity as a hafling pirate." Gimplefwick peers at his bedraggled, stuffed parrot as though to assure himself that he is indeed a pirate.
-----"Anyways, since yer such a good friend of ours and our fellow shipmates, we feel obliged to be helpin ye out with yer problems. If'n ye'll just tell us about those scoundrels, who they are, what business they have treatin ye so, rest assured we'll take care of em for ye. After all, what are friends for?" Gimplefwick makes a halfhearted attempt at a reassuring smile and stretches his arm up to pat Calron on the back.
-----Calron looks at Gimplefwick warily and narrows his eyes. He lifts his eyebrows as he listens to the Dread Pirate. Calron’s eyes then become large and he spins to look toward the front doors as if checking to see if anyone is there. Turning back to the three thieves, he says with nervousness in his voice, "It’s . . . nothin’. Just business, that’s all."
-----Quickly he changes the subject and points toward their wagon. "Yore all ready to go fer tomorrow. Are ya still wantin’ to stay here tonight?"
-----Seth reaches for his harp and starts strumming a soft calming melody, "Yes Calron, we still be planning to stay here the night. And we are ready for the trip tomorrow. On a personal note, Business is Business and us three plan on being in this town a while..On business, so while some you do business with come and go, we will not. So it makes sense to do business with people that will be there..When ya need them. Think about that."
-----"You can count on us. We're working for the guild now and it's going to be around for your future business, so we'll want to make sure everything is alright." Kazel gives a friendly smile at Calron. "Besides, I go back quite a ways back with Dofgar before this guild, so I'm sure some of my goods' already been through your hands many times."
-----Calron sighs and looks at the three before him. He looks once again at the doors and then back at the thieves. With a resigned look, he shrugs and softly says, "Okay, come on over here." He leads them to one of the dark spaces between the rows of goods. He positions himself so he can keep an eye on the door.
