-----Just as the three thieves open their eyes, a bundle of cloth material plops onto their faces. "Good mornin’," they hear Calron’s voice cheerfully say, "Time to hit the wagon trail. There’s some tabards and cloaks fer ya to wear to look more like merchants."
-----As the thieves pull the clothing off their heads and sit up, they see the gray-haired man standing next to a young boy no more than twelve years of age. "This here’s Jim," Calron says putting one hand on the boy’s shoulder, "He’ll be drivin’ the wagon fer ya."
-----The boy looks at them with large green eyes. His curly red hair matches the freckles on his face. He shyly raises one hand and waves at the three sprawled in the wagon. Almost in a whisper, they can hear a quick "hi" escape his lips.
-----"The man from the stables‘ll be here soon to hitch up the horses." Calron continues, talking to the boy as much as the trio. "Remember, leave through the Market Gate and head south on the trail road to Lut. When you get there, look fer the farm of Jogler. He’s the one yer lookin’ fer. When you get back, you drop off the wagon and the horses here first. You got any questions ‘fore you leave?"
-----As Calron looks at everyone, a flourish of rooster crows starts up again.
-----Upon waking, Gimplefwick idly scratches his crotch and peers distastefully at the bundle of tabards and merchant clothing. He then sighs and strips out of his pirate finery, completely disregarding the inappropriateness of being naked in the early morning air in front of a group of people.
-----"Arrr..it be a chilly morning," he says shivering slightly, despite his furry halfling body. He then grabs a tabard and some clothing and hastily puts it on. Gimplefwick then unattaches his parrot from his pirate vest and attaches it to his merchant tabard, taking care that it stands up straight and proud.
-----Gimplefwick then sits back down on the wagon and waits for the horses to be hitched up. He immediately begins vociferously snoring again, nearly drowning out the cacophony of crowing roosters.
-----Kazel smiles at the boy, then turns to Calron. "Yes, I got a question. You have any water?" She sits up and straightens her hair, then rubs her eyes as if she's not sure she's seeing Gimplefwick right as he starts to strip. Turning wisely away, she takes her short sword and straps it to her hip instead of her back, then simply puts on the tabard and cloak over her existing clothes. "Oh, one more thing, Wain didn't mention it but, how about a copper for each of us when we come back through the gates?"
-----Seth, after putting on his new clothing, wanders over to the apple barrel and grabs three apples. He tosses one to Kazel, and almost tosses one at Gimplefwick, but realizes he has gone back to sleep. He starts to munch on one. He walks over to the wagon, climbs back up on it and places the third apple on Gimplefwick’s chest.
-----He takes out his harp. He leans his face onto the wood of the harp feeling the latent vibrations. He watches Gimplefwick’s chest rise and fall trying to gauge how "Asleep" the Dread Pirate is. Seth does not want to find out if he, the Dread Pirate, is a 'morning person'.
-----Calron sends the boy to fetch water for Kazel and the others. He then turns to Kazel to answer her question. "Just use the money that you bring back from Jogler."
-----Kazel shrugs. "Alright then. We'll be using the fruit in the wagon for our trip anyway."
-----The doors open with the arrival of a man leading two horses into the warehouse. He and Calron then hitch the steeds to the wagon. As they finish, Jim arrives back with a pail of water and hands it to Kazel.
-----Kazel thanks Jim and fills her waterskin in the pail, then washes her face with the rest of the water. "Shall we go, then?" she says as the men finish hitching the horses.
-----Seth smiles at Calron, "See you in a few days Calron, hope all goes well with the spice trade." He walks over to Jim and says to the boy, "You better take the wagon through the streets and out the gate, ok?"
-----Gimplefwick snorts, rolls over, and continues sleeping as only a halfling pirate can. The apple Seth placed on his chest rolls underneath him, but Gimplefwick appears oblivious to it.
