-----As Raven falls to his knees, he hears Rand run over to him. "Easy, my friend, and forgive me! Allow me to do what has been a long time in coming." By the time the healing takes affect, Raven’s leg wound is healed and his abdomen appears badly scratched.
-----Sol gives a smile at the outcome of the battle, holding up a thumb at Raven. He calls, "There's no one in here. Hang on a moment, I'll gather their stuff and bring it out." The young man quickly enters the cave.
-----He makes about four trips in and out of the cave, each time carrying a collection of items in his arms. He carefully places them on the ground along the cleared area. When Sol has finished, he has set out over a dozen pouches, a few backpacks, a couple of lanterns, a bundle of arrows tied together and a rolled up piece of parchment.
-----Zentil, by this time, has the five enspelled men tied up.
-----Raven says to Rand, "Thanks friend. That was a close one..." Raven sinks down and sits on the ground. "Give me a minute." Raven sits there, head down, catching his breath. After a half-minute Raven gets to his feet and searches the dead leader's body.
-----Raven inspects the dead man's short sword. He holds the weapon and seems to be testing the blade. He then takes off something else from the body, and then returns to the group.
-----Raven says, "I've found two items of interest. First is this short sword, which I'd wish to claim."
-----He pauses to see if anyone disagrees. He then continues, "Second are these strange bracers this pig was wearing. I feel they have a magic, he blocked my attacks with inhuman speed."
-----Raven throws the bracers to Thalog, "Well wizard, have you ever seen anything like these before?" Raven then turns to the group, "Who should they go to?"
-----Sol looks somewhat perplexed as he answers, "You slew him. Surely they are yours to do with as you will?"
-----Raven rubs his chin, "True, I killed the poor bastard, which is why I claimed the sword, but some items should go to the person where it makes the most sense. Like if I found a wand, I wouldn't keep it. The wand should go to a wizard. If I found a suit a chain-mail or a long sword, they would go to you. Depending on what Thalog says, maybe I might want to try out the bracers to see what they can do. I don't understand magic things, but I heard that some magic things only work for certain people." Raven looks over to Thalog, "Any ideas on what the bracers do?"
-----The startled mage fumbles and drops the arm bracers. Maintaining his composure, he calmly says, "I can attempt to detect if these items contain magic, however it will be the last spell I can conjure this day."
-----Thalog then clenches his right hand and whispers, "Uoy dnuora cigam evresbo." A slight greenish glow comes over his eyes that slowly fades. He then picks up the leather bracers. As he looks at them, he says in an unfeeling voice, "These do radiate a moderate amount of magical aura, but no indication of the kind of magic."
-----He then looks at the items Sol laid out on the ground. "Hmm, how disappointing," he quickly adds, "the parchment is not magical." He continues to walk past the pouches, the lanterns and the backpacks. "I see nothing special about these mundane items." He then stops to look at the bundle of arrows. "These also radiate a fair amount of magic."
-----Thalog then turns toward Raven. "Would you like for me to observe the sword?" he quickly adds and listens for the others to respond.
-----As Thalog looks over the items, Rand picks up the rolled parchment. He carefully unrolls it and looks it over. After a few moments, he raises his hand and speaks, "Permit me to read this to everyone. This may shed some blessed light on what has taken place as of recently."
-----Rand then reads from the parchment:

---------------A-

----------Last raids on Myn good. Have sent goods to cave east. Orcs have run from position south.
----------Unreliable! Will attack stronghold, but need more men or orcs.

---------------------J.

-----Rand then looks up from the reading and pauses for response from his companions. He then looks at Zentil and Sol. "Would you two want to examine the pouches and backpacks? Thalog and I can watch the men that are tied? Then we can decide what to do with them." The six captured men sit tied together. The one who surrendered to Rand sits with his head down and moans begin to come from the ones Thalog enspelled.
