-----Sarah tries to pick the small dragon up and cradle it in her hands. She gently lifts it and it seems to settle in her palms. The small creature clutches a gem about half its size to its belly. The gem glows with a warm yellowish light.
-----Sarah asks Amythiel, "Can you heal it?"
-----Amythiel, her eyes large, replies in a soft voice, "Look at it. It’s so tiny. I don’t see any wounds on it. It seems to be greatly fatigued."
-----Then to everyone, Sarah says, "I can't understand a word it says."
-----Amythiel looks over at Raven, "Do you understand what it’s saying?"
-----Suddenly Zentil says something to it in the same language. The small creature blinks its eyes, makes a deep sigh and responses to Zentil in its tiny voice. During its conversation, the small one holds out the gem to Zentil.
-----Sol cannot help but smile at the sight of the dragon being cradled by Sarah. "Poor thing looks like it needs as much rest as we do. Perhaps we should move away from here now. Um...I probably shouldn't call it thing. Does...he or she have a name?" Sol thinks a moment before turning to the creature, "May we know your name?"
-----Reaching out to take the small gem, Zentil speaks again in the language of the small creature.
-----The small creature replies back to Zentil. It seems to relax more in Sarah’s hands and its breathing seems easier.
-----Raven shakes himself out of his stupor and says something to the little dragon. Raven seems to be speaking the dragon's language.
-----"The little one's name is Glow Wing", says Zentil to the others. Zentil again speaks to the small creature.
-----The tiny gossamer dragon answers and its voice sounds weak and sad. As it replies at one point, it extends one tiny paw to point at the gem that Zentil took from it. Finally the tiny creature finishes speaking. It then looks up at Sarah and gives her a weak, but warm smile. With that, it lifts its tiny hands skyward, its yellow glow fades and it disappears from sight. The miniscule weight in Sarah’s hand suddenly lightens.
-----Sarah just stares at her empty hands looking very sadly at them.
-----Thalog speaks up, "Glow Wing spoke of dark ones that enslaved him and used his magic for evil. He also said that that gem was what kept him from dying. And added that it will heal those touched by the darkness. He then said that he cannot help us because it is not in his nature. The dark ones had taken his magic leaving him weak and in need of rest. So he said good bye and disappeared. He was quite polite."
-----Thalog looks over at the skull that was on the mound and turns to the others to say, "I think we should do a thorough search of this place before we leave. It was an ancient Lathanian war tomb and many brave fallen warriors were buried here. This would supply the witches with the skeletons they have been using. Sarah and I should study Zentil's gem and the skull. That will give everyone else time to heal. If anyone knows anything more about the tomb now is a good time to speak up. Raven could you find your way back here?"
-----Thalog goes over to the box that contained Glow Wing and looks inside. He begins to search and study the mound. Then he studies and searches the surrounding area. "How is everyone's health? Broactor’s is the best place to stay but there are still many things to do today. Sol, could you please help me with this skull?"
-----"Sure Thalog..." Sol goes over to the skull with the mage.
-----Raven looks around the area and nods, "Yep, I could find this place again." Raven limps around and looks at the weapons the skeletons were using.
-----After looking around Raven says, "So are we off to Broacter’s? I could use a good night’s sleep." Raven looks weary and in pain.
-----Sarah asks Zentil for the gem so she can take a look at it. Zentil hands the yellow glowing gem over to Sarah for inspection. She then examines it carefully.
-----Thalog has Sol help him carry the skull over to his horse and then lift it up so it can be attached. They get it mounted behind the saddle so it faces to the rear of the horse.
-----Finally in the dull light of the mid-afternoon, the adventurers find the rest of the horses and leave the ancient mound behind. Raven leads them south through the woods and into a forest valley. After an hour’s time, the trees thin out and they emerge from the forest. To the south they see open plains dotted here and there in the distance with hills.
-----They begin urging their steeds faster skirting the great forest on their right. The moderate breeze continues to blow, although it is warmer now than it had been in the forest. The sun remains behind the gray clouds covering the sky . . .
