-----Raven looks shocked, "Broacter dead?" Raven shakes his head and puts a hand on Goff's shoulder, "You did everything you could do. You will have your chance for revenge. Who were the men that attacked? There will be hell to pay..." Raven pauses trying to control himself. After a moment he continues, "Where is Rinda now? Did they take her?"
-----Goff looks at Sarah and Raven as if he just woke up. "No, she’s here! I’ll show you!" He leads them over to a place in the north wall between the windows. His arms bulge as he grabs onto a section of the wall and pulls. A narrow space behind the wall section is revealed, large enough for two or three people.
-----As Raven holds his torch aloft, the light falls on the form of Rinda. She sits to one side of the hidden place leaning against the wall. Her eyes are closed and her illness has made her thin and weak looking.
-----Sol runs to the top of the stairway and calls for Amythiel. Within a few moments, the young priestess is there among the group kneeling down beside Rinda. She takes a cloth and dabs the sick woman’s forehead and checks her breathing.
-----Suddenly Amythiel looks at Thalog with an urgency on her face, "Thalog, what did the small dragon say about that gem?" She then looks at Sarah, "Sarah, do you still have it?"
-----Raven says, "That's right, the dragon said the gem was to aid those effected by the witches." Raven looks over to Sarah waiting to see what happens.
-----"Yes I do." Sarah takes out the gem and gives it to Amythiel.
-----Amythiel takes the yellow glowing gem and its brightness helps to shine in the hidden place behind the wall. The priestess looks at it marveling at its beauty. "I’m not sure how to invoke its power, let alone if this will work," she quietly says. She then closes her eyes and holds the gemstone up. "Please, by the Holy Light of Solarius, let this heal her." Amythiel then sets the gem on the blanket covering Rinda’s lap. The soft warm glow slowly begins to fade. The light becomes so low the gem looks as dark as the rest of the keep.
-----Sol grimaces and exhales his breath in a show of frustration. "Wait! Look!" Amythiel whispers.
-----Suddenly within the gem a small amount of light appears to be swirling and spinning. The light then begins again as a small bright spot in the gem’s center. The dull intensity of the light begins to pulse. Slowly the intensity of the pulsing light begins to build. As it does, the shallowness in Rinda’s face begins to slowly fade. Her breathing seems to get stronger and the steady pulsing light continues to build. After a few moments, Rinda looks like she is sleeping peacefully and less like a woman who was fatally ill. Finally, the pulsing stops and the gem retains its original soft warm yellow glow.
-----Amythiel reaches out and touches Rinda’s face. "Rinda, . . . Rinda can you hear me?" she softly asks. Rinda’s eyes flicker and she begins to stir. She then opens her eyes and looks at Amythiel. With a slight start, she asks, "What has happened? Where is Goff?" She tosses the blanket off her. She looks healthy although somewhat still weak.
-----Goff’s voice answers, "I’m here, Rinda! Raven and the others are here!"
-----Amythiel lifts the gem from Rinda’s lap. As she holds it, she mutters, "Praise be to Solarius!" and then she quickly adds, "and thank you, Glow Wing!"
