-----Sol's head whips around and returns her stare, "That was NOT my point." He shouts angrily. Quickly his gaze returns to the young man.
-----"How much did he tell you?" the young man growls at Sol while keeping his stare on Rand. "Did he tell you my mother died at the hands of his sorcery? Did he tell you that after my father and I tried to stop him, my father also died? Did he tell you he was brought before the village tribunal and banished from here? Did he tell you that the death of my parents was not enough, that he kidnapped my two beloved sisters? Seven years have I searched, but to no avail! Now I tell you, if you still be friend to this one, I shall delight in taking your head along with his!" The young man stays focused on Rand while the four hooded men with him draw their swords.
-----Rand snarls at the man, and replies in a tense voice, "I have never killed anyone! How dare you accuse me of that! Banished... banished from this village yes, because of your meddling. You tainted the villagers’ minds against me... you and your father. Your sisters... MY sisters ran away with me to get away from you! They alone realized my innocence. Don't pretend innocence, you killed one of my sisters... perhaps both." Rand's hands tremble, his face red with anger.
-----Rand turns to Sol and says, "Thank you for backing me up, I would never harm an innocent. Least of all my own family!"
-----He then turns to Sarah and says, "Do not be drawn in by his lies and foolish accusations."
-----Raven puts his right hand on his new long sword and says to the group of men, "Easy now strangers, you're biting off more than you can chew. I don't want to kill you, but if you don't backup..." Raven lips draw back into a wolf-like snarl, "you'll taste my cold steel." Raven turns to Rand, "Why in the hell didn't you say anything about this before now!? Speak Rand, I won't be part of killing a bunch of locals unless they walk on the path of evil."
-----"You lying pig!" the man spits back, still talking to Rand, "The villagers saw the blight of the crops and the spoiling of the river bank that year. That was not tainting anyone’s mind, that was your doing!" He closes his eyes and breathes deeply, tempering his rage. He opens them again, their look somehow darker. "The last time I saw my sisters they were alive and well. If you say one of them is dead, it is your doing!" With his jaw firmly set and his sword raised, the young man suddenly shouts, "No more of your falsehoods! No more of your sorcery! Where are they, Rand? Where are my sisters?"
-----Sol returns Rand's thanks with a polite nod. His eyes continue to watch all the sword bearing men, though his head is turned slightly, as if waiting to hear for Rand's reply to the angry man's accusations.
-----Rand quietly replies to Raven, his eyes still intently gazing upon his accuser. "I did not speak of it because I hoped not to have to confront this. The locals are all innocents, he however... " With that Rand points at his accuser "is very much not innocent."
-----Raven takes his hand off the hilt of his sword and says to the locals, "Rand is now a man of god. If Rand was evil, his god would not give him the power to heal and protect the sick. I've seen Rand use his god's power and know that Rand is good man. Are you all going to let one loud-mouth turn this into a slaughter? I do not wish to make any wives in this widows, but I will protect myself and my friends. What say you all?"
-----Sarah is extremely disgusted by all of this, "We saw the power of the Goddess of Nightmares too, Raven. Those people weren't good men. Nothing personal, Rand, but these men have questions and I think you should answer them. I'm not going to kill someone just because they accuse a cleric."
-----"Forgive me for interrupting," Thalog says. The mage appears to be looking with his cold expressionless eyes at Rand and then at the angry young man. "Rand, a moment ago, you referred to ‘Your sisters... MY sisters ran away with me to get away from you!’ Are you two brothers?" Thalog pauses and raises an eyebrow.
-----The young man continues to glare at Rand and his body visibly shakes with anger.
-----Raven shakes his head and rubs the back of his neck, "I'm getting a headache."
-----"Yes...once upon a time we were," Rand replies to Thalog without looking at him, his eyes still upon the man now known to be his brother.
-----Rand turns to Raven, his attention split between him and his brother. "It is useless talking to them, they have been fooled into believing all gods are demons... even your own god. This man's accusations are foolhardy."
-----Rand continues his heated argument with the man... "What the villagers saw was nature taking its course! Nothing to do with me! I use the strength Solarius has granted me for good, never have I done otherwise."
-----Rand breathes deeply staring intently at the man... "You know very well one of them is dead! By the same wasting sickness that killed my mother! And my other sister... likely dead also by your hands. Do not play games, where is Elayne???"
-----The expression on Rand's face is a mixture of sorrow and hatred. One hand leaves his quarterstaff to tightly grasp his only item that shows him as a Cleric of Solarius.
-----"This filth was born to my family, but I do not claim him as a brother!" the young man says, spitting at Rand, his anger building. "You were banished from this village and you chose to return! You tell me one of my sisters is dead and accuse me of hiding the other! I have no reason to hide!"
-----Through clenched teeth, he hisses, "You have brought shame and death upon our family! Well, . . dear brother, I have only one thing to say to you." Rand’s brother leans slightly forward and his sword lowers a bit. He looks intently at Rand and his eyes grow very dark. A snarl crosses his face as he forcefully says, "Die!"
