-----As he approaches the forms menacing his three terrified comrades, Raven notices they are humans clad in leather and carrying shields. One of them turns from the cowering heroes to face Raven and jabs a sword in at him. It scratches his arm and draws blood.
-----Raven slashes in with both swords, but his two weapons only connect with his opponent’s shield.
-----Sol turns back to the servant of the mad god, uncontained hatred showing on his face. He readies his blade and growls, "Trust in you...we all die." He swings.
-----The dark clad veiled man jumps back avoiding Sol’s attack and looks to brace himself. The darkness seems to gather in his eyes as if he readies some unspeakable act.
-----Suddenly Sarah is there at Sol’s side. With a quickly uttered incantation, she extends her hand out toward the dark stranger. A vivid, fan-shaped spray of clashing colors springs forth from her hand squarely striking the man. He suddenly covers his eyes with a gasp of surprise. "Dark Lady!" he exclaims, "I cannot see!"
-----A noise behind Sol and Sarah alert them. Turning, they see the two undead bone men striding toward them with weapons drawn.
-----"Dammit!" Sol yells in frustration. In desperation he hurls himself at the bone men, hoping to draw their attention to himself alone.
-----Sarah quickly draws forth her darts to fling at the veiled, blinded man. Her first throw sends the dart off into the darkness missing the man’s head. The second one hits the man in his upper arm. Cursing and in a frenzy, her opponent draws a dagger swinging wildly, trying to fend off any other attacks.
-----Sol heaves his weight into his first swing connecting with one of the undead. He shears its upper half away from its legs, but it remains animated as it hits the cavern floor. Both skeletons miss Sol as he back steps.
-----As Raven faces his opponent, he notices the other two evil ones have forced his three terrified friends to their knees. He swings in quickly with his enchanted blade, but it is blocked by the dark leathered one’s shield. He tries to quickly move his off sword hand back to catch his opponent’s gut, but it deftly leans back avoiding his move.
-----Meanwhile, Sarah launches another dart, timing the throw with the wild swings from the dagger. Her dart impales itself in the man’s neck. He falls forward dropping his weapon and with a startling loud splash, he tumbles into the dark water of the pool. She doesn’t see him below the murky water.
-----Raven’s opponent suddenly spins, completely pivoting in front of him. Before he can react, the evil one’s sword comes round slamming into his side. Raven is injured just below the rib cage on his right side.
-----A female voice suddenly erupts from the form holding Thalog’s head down toward the floor. "Drop your weapons, scum," She spits at Raven, "or he dies now!" The evil human holds the blade of a long sword at the mage’s neck.
-----Raven gives the woman a wolfish snarl, but says nothing. Raven then looks back to Sol and Sarah to see what they say. Raven does not drop his guard.
-----Unaware of what transpires at the other end of the cave, Sol continues to battle the undead. His sword flashes like lightning as he moves. A quick move destroys the skeleton he chopped in two, but the other undead avoids his second swing.
-----The dead thing then jabs in with its weapon badly scratching Sol’s arm. As they both circle each other, the skeleton tries to jab in once again. Sol, anticipating the move, sweeps across with his sword severing the thing’s backbone and sending it collapsing into a heap of dust and bone.
-----Sarah and Sol then see what is transpiring with Raven and the others.
-----Sol draws in a couple of quick deep breaths, before glancing at Sarah. Seeing she is fine, he begins walk towards the gathering of friends and foes. His hand grips his blade tightly.
-----Raven to the woman, "I can't do that. If I drop my weapons you will kill us all." Raven pauses as Sol moves up next to him. "Let our comrade go and I won't kill you. We'll let you leave this area alive. If you do kill him, I promise to Thales you'll be standing in front of your god without your head."
-----Raven locks eyes with the woman, "Take a look at this sword. I took it off the body of the bandit leader that was feeding you money. If I can kill him one on one, what makes you think we couldn't kill you all?"
-----As soon as Sol gets next to Raven, he begins to pace from side to side, torso always twisted to face his opponents. On an adrenaline high, he cannot stand to be still. "Pathetic lackeys of an unhinged god. Stop being bloody cowards, ignore those that can't defend themselves and damn well fight us!" Sol yells as he indicates Raven and himself.
