-----Seth finds some sand in his pouch and mumbles some words as he sprinkles sand in the direction of any orcs blocking the way Seth came in.
-----Sarah reckons she had better keep the orcs mesmerized for the time being and continues her hypnotic pattern spell.
-----The Dread Pirate smiles broadly at the orc leader's bellow, "Arrrr, did ye hear that? He said 'humans die.' I guess things'll work out fer me pretty good. Sorry bout you guys and all, but he seems to have somethin against humans. Must figure halflings are alright." The Dread Pirate sticks his cutlass in the ground in front of him, for easy access, hurls a couple daggers, then snatches his cutlass back up.
-----Suddenly, four of the stalking orcs fall to the ground succumbing to Seth’s spellwork. The first dagger that the Dread Pirate throws meets the forehead of one of the humanoids burying the short blade up to the hilt. The orc falls on his face, his dying blood staining the thick grass. When the pirate’s second dagger misses the orcs completely, the humanoids step up their pace, rushing the adventurers defending their circle.
-----Two orcs run at Gimplefwick wildly swinging their weapons. Both of them miss as the halfling pirate grabs his cutlass.
-----To one side of him, Kazel faces a trio of orcs. As they step up, the half-elven butcher swings her sword around in an arc and with a finishing backthrust, plants her blade through the gut of a humanoid. As the orc falls dead, the other two jab in clumsily taken a bit off guard by Kazel’s quick move. One of the orcs misses her completely, but the other gets in a lucky jab that lightly scratches her arm.
-----Sol silently whispers something as three other orcs rush in. The warrior meets the first one running his Lathanian sword through the humanoid’s chest. As he kicks the dead orc off his blade, another orc raises his blade at Sol’s head. With a quick sweep, Sol rakes his sword across the orc’s abdomen, critically wounding it. The third orc thrusts in at Sol, but fails to stab through his chain mail.
-----Across the way, Raven is seen facing a large half-orc with a shock of white hair. The ranger furiously cuts in with one of his swords only to have it stopped by his opponent’s huge battleaxe. The half-orc then wades in with a swing, which misses Raven as he steps back. The wolf circles the two growling and looks for an opening to bite. Back and forth they battle but neither one succeeds in landing a blow against the other. The half orc and Raven curse at each other in the orcish language.
-----Meanwhile an orc swings his weapon scratching Rinda across her upper leg. With a yell that would do Broactor proud, the huntress swings her club connecting with the orc’s head, killing it. Another orc begins to approach her.
-----Seeing all is well with the fight and he now has an escape route, Seth readies his sling and aims it at one of the orcs fighting Kazel. He swings it around and lets it fly. As it speeds towards the orc’s head he begins to sing an Elvish Battle song.
-----The missile strikes the head of the largest orc facing Kazel and the noise it makes sounds like the cracking of a hammered stone. Dark blood begins to pour down the humanoid’s neck as it drops its weapon and falls to the ground dead.
-----Seth’s song also seems to have an adverse effect on the orcs. As they glare somewhat in his direction, their anger builds somehow also managing to frustrate the humanoids as well.
-----Raven growls at the half-orc and then tries to do a quick spin move hoping to bury one of his swords deep into the half-orc's belly. His first sword is defected by his opponent’s weapon, but Raven flashes in with his second sword. This one finds its mark slicing into the humanoid’s gut. In a raging yell of furious pain, the half-orc brings his axe down on Raven’s left leg injuring the muscle there. The weapon slices open Raven’s legging exposing the now bleeding and gaping wound.
-----The Dread Pirate twirls his blade in front of one of the two orcs crouching in front of him. With a fanciful flourish, Gimplefwick deftly brings his cutlass to bear on a point below the humanoid’s belt line. The howls of excruciating pain bring a smile to the Dread Pirate’s face as the critically wounded orc falls on his back. The other orc, wide-eyed with the quick action, misses the scampering halfling pirate.
-----As graceful as an elven dancer, Kazel turns toward the last orc facing her. Before the orc can raise its blade high enough for a down slash, Kazel thrusts her long sword through the orc’s belly sending it quickly to the ground. It heaves once and then relaxes as its last breath leaves its dead body.
-----With a mixed expression of anger at the humanoids and concern for Raven, Rinda weighs into another orc. Her last opponent almost squats in front of her looking to stab up at the huntress. Rinda leaves her feet as she leaps up at the same time she smashes down with her club. The force of the blow on the orc’s head practically flattens its neck and it falls over dead. Rinda then kicks it once and, satisfied that it no longer lives, moves closer to Raven.
