-----The central fief of Hearthorn is mostly composed of plains. The northern branch of the Altor River runs almost diagonally through this region from the northwest to the southeast. The Wesgol Forest and the northern Oakwood cut into the area from the north and the south respectfully.
-----The area is dotted with yeomen farms, lakes and ruins left behind from the Gorian and Lathanian Empires. In the central fief of Hearthorn are about 20 villages. The six villages closest to the town of Hearthorn are listed below:
-----MYN: This forest village has a population of about 500 people. Many craftsmen and woodsmen have taken up residence here. The village serves as an important starting point through the wooded regions to Westmont and Goldfal.
-----NOB: This village of about 220 people is located on a trail road that runs to the northeast toward Battlerok. In the village is located a butcher, a blacksmith, a miller, a dyer, and a barber. The rest of the people are farmers or hunters.
-----TRU: This village lies about 12 miles upriver from Hearthorn. Its population is about 110 people. An observation tower that doubles as a temple to Astron is located on a hill southeast of the village.
-----NYH: This village of about 250 people lies on the Kings Trail Road that winds through Blukeep and on to Goldren. Many supplies and services needed to move goods overland can be found here.
-----LUT: This village of about 200 people has trails that lead on to Stonegate and Derknod. Strangely, this village has the only fine clothier in the area besides the Town of Hearthorn. A temple dedicated to Thales is located on a wooded hill south of the village.
-----WILP: This village of about 250 people is located downriver from Hearthorn. Just one of many river villages along the Altor, it provides many needed services for water or land travelers.
