-----"Those who drop their weapons now, live." Sol calls out. His long legs, built for speed, begin to work. Sol yells out a wordless battle cry as he charges towards the group.
-----With Sol’s grand entrance, Woder and the five guards jerk toward him as if in shock at the intrusion. "Who dares?" Woder gasps out and as he sees Sol rushing his group, he pushes at two of his guards yelling in anger, "Slay him!"
-----Before the guards can turn their weapons toward the charging warrior, Sol’s Lathanian blade swings down nearly cleaving one man in two. With a sudden backslash, Sol brings his sword across cutting into another guard’s middle. Both bodies lie dead and bleeding at Sol’s feet.
-----"Kill him, you fools!" Woder shrieks and the remaining three guards begin to circle Sol. From two of the opponents, Sol quickly parries their attacks. As the third one steps in, Sol swings in and his blade locks momentarily with the guard’s. At that moment, Sol is vaguely aware of his other companions entering behind him.
-----Kazel frowns ever so slightly at the situation, then replaces her longsword with her dagger and breaks into a sprint straight towards Woder. As she runs, she glances quickly around for any tricky devices or the whereabouts of the cook, but otherwise keeps her eyes on Woder's gaze should he plan to signal or slink away in any direction.
-----Shaking his head in disbelief at Sol's singlehanded rush into the keep, the Dread Pirate draws his cutlass and charges Woder, intending to subdue him if possible. Gimplefwick yells, "Remember me, ye barnacle encrusted goat's arse? Still not very bright, are ye?"
-----The villain turns toward the rushing halfling, a look of recognition in his ancient-looking eyes. "You! You minute freak of gods’ folly, you will perish by my hand!" Woder hisses as he draws forth his own sword. He swings with a swift swoop at Gimplefwick’s head, which the Dread Pirate ducks in time.
-----Raven snarls at the three guards attacking Sol, "Today you die." With that Raven rushes to help Sol. Rinda with a growl that would do Broactor proud follows the ranger hefting her club.
-----The Dread Pirate slashes in at Woder, the evil one parries the cutlass maneuver deftly. Their swordplay does turn them somewhat offering an opening to the party’s sorceress.
-----Sarah groans as she sees Dread charging off towards Woder. "Now if I web that guy Dread will kill me in my sleep for catching him too. Dammit." Sarah instead casts her magical missile spell, aiming for the man called Woder. Her golden bolts of magical energy slam into the man with the peculiar eyes drawing a look of pain from him.
-----Seth fondly remembers his silver ring. He punches out his fist at the direction of Woder, imagining him being forced through the wall as he shouts the command words, "Sabba sa!" Within the space of a second, the room seems to silence and then a whooshing sound is heard as if from a snoring giant. A strange transparent image of a horned animal manifests itself in front of the half-elven musician and then rushes the villain.
-----Gimplefwick blinks as the man in front of him suddenly leaves his feet and is carried through the air. Woder slams into the side of some stone stairs that leads to the upper level of the keep.
-----Sol, Raven and Rinda quickly dispatch the last of the guards sending their bodies to the floor unconscious or dead.
-----At that moment, Woder miraculously rises visibly hurt and shaken with murder still in those hellish eyes. Grinding his teeth, he lifts his sword to swing at Gimplefwick. Suddenly, Sol is there who catches the assassin’s sword with his own. The force of the young warrior’s swing is enough to send the weapon from Woder’s hand off into a dark corner of the hall.
-----Woder now stares at the points of Sol’s and Dread’s swords poised at his face. With a hateful look, he dangles his arms out at his sides and says with a calm tone, "I do believe you have me at a disadvantage."
