-----When Raven locks his arms around the wolf’s head, he then begins talking soothingly to it. The huntress then grasps the arrow shaft and finds she has to turn the arrow a bit before she draws it forth. The wolf cries and yelps but the arrow is soon taken from it.
-----Rinda then applies a healing spell but it does not fully heal the wound. With Sarah’s help, they then wrap a cloth around its injury.
-----"That will do for now. I just hope he doesn’t bite that wrapping off and open his wound more," Rinda says wiping her brow.
-----As if remembering where she is, the huntress warily looks around and lowers her voice. She then tells Sol and Raven, "We found an elven couple murdered in their home back there."
-----Looking at her hands, she sees the wolf’s blood on them. "When the Blood of the Hunter’s Child has been spilled by one who calls himself Predator, but is not so in the eyes of the Great Hunter, he it is who shall become the Prey!" the huntress intones. She then looks at Raven with a feral look in her eyes. "My Hunter," she asks of Raven, "where is this prey that did this to the wolf?"
-----Seth calls Albert to him and walks over to the hunter and places his hand on Raven's shoulder in a show of compassion.
-----Raven nods his thanks.
-----"What did you see?" Sarah asks Raven and Sol as she finishes helping Rinda with the wolf cub.
-----Sol glances back at Raven, then looks back at the others before explaining bitterly, "The bastards have holed up in a castle keep along wi' more o' their friends. Yes, a full bloody castle wi' walls that look recently repaired. Strong lookin' ones too. Basically, we don't know how many are in there, but if they have had time t'fix the place up, then something really dodgy is going on here."
-----Raven says, "Aye, I think I saw twelve men on top of the keep. Do you think these men killed the elven family back there?" Raven looks over to Sarah, "Any luck in figuring who cut your saddle?"
-----Sarah shakes her head. "No, but I saw the castle you were talking about. Dread fixed it though, well, well enough to hold for awhile. I should probably get this fixed when we go back to town. So, are we going to head for the ogres still?"
-----The Dread Pirate purses his lips at the mention of a castle, "Arrr, I don't think there can be much doubt as to the intent of those castle dwellers. I say we wait til nightfall, storm the place, and torch it after a thorough looting. A night of fun and merriment to be had all by all. Well, maybe not those actually living in the castle, but fun fer me nonetheless." The Dread Pirate looks decidedly homicidal at the thought of storming a castle. He occasionally fingers the hilt of his cutlass as the parrot on his shoulder jiggles back and forth.
-----Rinda nods and speaks up, "I agree with Dread. We have found our prey and it would be best to hunt them tonight. We should watch them til then to see if any are so bold as to come out from their castle. How do we . . . storm this castle?" She looks in turn at Gimplefwick, Sol, Raven, and Kazel for a response. The huntress then looks up at the noonday sun.
-----Seth looks absolutely horrified at the thought of storming anything. "Ahmm, um, whilst the noble Dread pirate may be suited for such pastimes as swinging through windows, torching castles and pillaging and other naughty piratical activities, would it not be better to use some of our more stealthy skills?"
-----He raises his hands in an out worldly manner as he outlines his plan. "Tonight, Kazel, Dread and myself can scale the wall of the castle, of course after finding a spot the guards are not vigilant at, we can then lower a rope so Sol, Raven, Rinda and Sarah can also scale the walls. Sarah and myself aided by the rest of our group can move through the keep using spells and tricks that render people unconscious, or by charming them. You others can tie up those we render useless. That should then leave only 4 or 5 of the bandits left for Sol, Raven and the Dread Pirate to deal with by poking at them with swords. So how does that sound?" he asks everyone.
-----The Dread Pirate grins at Seth's reticent approach to storming the castle, then admits, "Shiver me timbers, I didn't really want to try battering the front gate down either. I think whoever is best among the three of us at climbing should scale those walls. And I'm pretty sure that isn't me, judging by me past performances. If none are confident in their abilities, then I do have another way to quietly attach a rope up there, but I'd just as soon save it. It's a one time shot and we might need it later."
-----The Dread Pirate then looks at the two warriors, "Arrr, ye two all festooned with weapons and whatnot. This be a stealthy sort of a job. I'd recommend that ye strap down anything that might clank or rattle. And take some ashes from the campfire and blacken whatever might reflect or glint. Ye might want to do yer faces too. Pale white faces kinda stick out in the moonlight."
