-----Sarah looks fascinated as Dread describes the things he has in his backpack. "Hey, um, Dread." She says, a little unsure of herself. "Do you think maybe if we defeat the evil and all that someday you could show me where you get all that stuff? I would love to have things like that!" Sarah’s still suspicious mind triggers her into looking over Dread’s stuff for anything remotely wand-like, although she feels bad doing it.
-----In reply to Sarah, the Dread Pirate states, "Ye can find most of this stuff in yer local market. Oil, acid, glue, iron spikes, and whatnot. Nothing new there. Ye just have to take yer normal everyday items and turn 'em into an interestin means fer mayhem and destruction. As fer the potion, I found that in me travelin. That arrow and a couple other things are another matter that I can't be discussin in polite company." Gimplefwick glares somewhat peevishly as Sarah peers into his backpack, having already dumped it out once before in front of her.
-----Unless Sol has further arguments, the Dread Pirate agrees with Seth and sets to burying the loot, setting up several traps on the coffers and the surrounding area.
-----Seth half-heartedly offers, "Well there is the 'Salvation of Slappy Fund'. Paladin Nylan Lotley would be pleased to have assistance from Lord Greene's share of the money. I am sure it would help Slappy immensely."
-----Sol obviously has further arguments, though doesn't voice them. Dread's talking had veered off from the point Sol was trying to make, and the warrior didn't see any point in pursuing it further. Unhappy, though already attempting to forget the issue, Sol begins to keep watch on the surrounding area. After all, who knows? The group may be lucky enough for the orcs to return.
-----Raven breaks his silence. "I find myself asking the same question Dread is: Why should we give this money to Greene?" Raven puts a hand up as if to ask Sol to let me finish, "Most of the gold and weapons we 'find' on our journey comes from us killing the previous owner. Sol, are you going to track down who really owns that sword you wear at your side? I'm sure there is an elven family somewhere that could claim that sword as theirs. I'm not going to give the sword I wrestled from the dead hand of that pirate shirt bastard to the local sheriff. Aye this money is tinted with evil, but we could use the gold to better equip for ourselves, buy new spells and give what you would like to a charity." Raven looks over to Rinda, "I don't know what Rinda would do with her share, but I'm going to give most of mine to Broactor."
-----Raven glances to Dread, "Dread is also right about no one person can decide for all of us. I say we split the gold evenly." Raven motions to Rinda, "That includes ALL of us."
-----Raven turns to Sarah, "We don't have time to count now. Sir Greene needs our help. We must move with great haste."
-----Raven says to Dread and Seth, "You guys bury the gold, I'll make sure you leave no trail to the buried treasure."
-----Sol frowns from where he is standing watch and is plainly irritated at having been dragged back into the discussion, "Firstly, if 'some elven family' could lay claim to my sword, then I'd bloody well hand it over. I have another, or I could get another. Usually when we take down some group o' bastards, we take what's theirs and we have no way of returning anything they have may have taken from others. I know that. There's nothing we can do about that."
-----"But this is a case where we pretty much know th' money has been stolen from the locals. Sir Greene would have been then only person t'hand th' money over to. True, he couldn't hand over the money to the people any better than we could, that was never my intention. Because Oakwood is under Sir Greene's care, he could make sure that the money be put to good use for the people of Oakwood, in any way that's needed. But no, here we are using money that we KNOW belongs to the people of Oakwood for our own pleasure. Or needs or whatever."
-----He sighs slightly before finishing, "And Raven? I also realize that no one person can decide what to do with the find. It's everyone's choice. Which is why I'm standing guard over here. But that doesn't stop me putting my point o' view." Feeling that he had finally vented what he needed to, Sol nods and continues his watch.
-----Raven says to Sol, "Hmmm...we disagree on this one Sol. Well, we'll have take up this discussion after to purge the dark cult from this area. Unless we're killed of course." Raven gives Sol a pat on the shoulder as he walks by to hide the tracks Dread and Seth make as they work to bury the gold.
-----Sol smiles softly at Raven as he works on the tracks and softly speaks, "No chance o' that, friend."
