-----Moving in the tunnel behind them, they are joined by Seth, Kazel and the Dread Pirate.
-----Seth is immediately captivated by the word ‘trap’. "Ah Raven, you sure you don't want one of us 'professionals' to secure that coffer before you poison yourself?"
-----Seth waits patiently to see if Raven pricks himself on an unseen poison needle or perhaps activates some rotating knives. As an afterthought he looks at the structure of the cave and moves to what he feels is a safer place to watch.
-----Sol's eyebrow raises at Seth's use of the word 'professionals' but he doesn't say anything about it as he realizes he is being scrutinized by Sarah, causing the warrior to self-consciously turn about face in order to give the rat's exit his complete attention.
-----Sarah can't see any sign of a bite anywhere, but as Sol turns away from her, she becomes convinced that he was bitten. She walks up to him and stands in front of the young warrior, looking up into his eyes she says, "Okay, Sol, where did it bite you?"
-----Sol's eyes widen, then he settles down and a slight smile slowly grows, "Bite? Is that all? Oh no, I'm fine, thanks. They weren't even able to gnaw through my boots." His smile grows wider still as he pointedly looks past Sarah's shoulder indicating he should continue his watch.
-----Raven turns his head towards Seth and then says, "Take a look then and see what you find." Raven begins to look around the room for tracks.
-----Seth quickly couches over the coffers and deftly checks to see if they have any traps for the unwary.
-----Rinda picks up the torch from the floor before its dim light goes out. She holds it aloft, hoping to give more illumination while Seth checks the coffers and Raven scans the floor of the cave.
-----The huntress shoots a glance over toward Sol and Sarah where they stand close to the smaller cracks in the wall.
-----The Dread Pirate grimaces at the sight of all the dead rats, then moves over to assist Seth in checking the coffers, stopping long enough to say, "Arrr, ye'd better be sure ye didn't get yerself bitten. I had a navigator once who got himself bitten by a bunch of rats when he went below decks to check on some cargo shifting about in the hold. Fer a few days he seemed fine, then one night he turned into a gigantic, rabid rat and killed about half o' the crew. Other than that he was fine, anyways. We just changed his work shift around to days from then on and locked him up in his cage at night. It worked out pretty good fer all concerned really." The Dread Pirate shrugs and goes back to peering over Seth's shoulder.
-----"What?" Sarah asks, seeing Rinda looking at her. She turns around and notices the small cracks in the wall for the first time. She stares at them for awhile, seeing if there is anything of interest about them.
-----Sol rather pointedly keeps his eyes fixed on the small cave, doing his best to ignore the stares that seem to come one after the other. Sarah had a reasonable reason, Rinda though? Ignoring it further, he replies to Seth whilst still watching forwards, "We won't know if there's anything worth anything unless it's opened. If ye don't want t'risk it, an' fair enough, we could always take them with us when we leave, an' have them opened in town."
-----Seth looks at the Dread Pirate and then points to the latches indicating he has found something. "Raven, do you really think there will be anything worth having in these boxes? If you do, we will try and remove the needles. Why I am asking is, does any one have any potions or spells that help against poison? Just in case we, um, miss one!"
-----The Dread Pirate frowns at the mention of poison, "Arrrr, what sort o' uncouth barbarian would use poison? That’s just disgusting. Sadly, I don't have anythin to cure poisons on me person right now. We could always flip the coffers over and saw through the bottoms of 'em. Avoid the traps entirely. Or we could dump some of 'me acid in the locks. It'd either disable the lock, dissolve the poison, melt the lock permanently, or maybe some combination of those. I'd rather do that then take me chances with poison though. At least we should drag 'em outside and get some better light on the subject." Warming to his task, the Dread Pirate grabs one of the coffers, checks to make sure nothing will jump out at him if he moves it, then proceeds to drag it outside.
-----Raven looks up from the floor and says, "I see some orcs were here a few days ago. We can't just leave this booty here for them damn orcs to collect later. You and Dread are the 'professionals' at this. Do whatever you think is best, but these coffers should be opened." Raven watches as Dread starts to drag the coffers out. "This I've got to see." With that Raven follows Dread out of the cave.
-----Seth nods as Dread starts dragging the coffers out, "Raven would you be so kind as to grab the second coffer and I shall drag the third out, then we shall let the acid work!"
-----Raven nods and then starts to drag one of the coffers outside.
