-----Sol scratches his chin as he struggles to remember, "Yeah...um, th' guard said that the keep...a moathouse keep he called it, was about two miles east o' Nox. As fer Redmarsh, I don't mind swamps and bogs an' all, but we have heard some nasty rumours o' creatures runnin' rampant. All th' better if we come across them, I say." Sol grins at the last comment.
-----Rau’Triel shows Raven and Sol his map. Despite the more carefully drawn lines and features, the map resembles somewhat the crude maps that the henchmen of Krondor drew.
-----"Two miles east of Nox," begins the Law Priest, "would be right there, if it is located also on the river." Rau’Triel points to an unmarked spot on the map.
-----As Raven and Sol look over the map, Rau’Triel adds, "I am sorry to say that I do not know the current state of Redmarsh. Sir Kelor Zantar oversees the Fief from the Town of Redmarsh and he would be considered a law-abiding man. However, as of late, word from many people moving north from Redmarsh say that the Fief has fallen into somewhat of a chaotic state and it is unclear as if this is a fault of Sir Zantar or not."
-----"Actually, I'd be more than willing t'believe that Krondor himself is stirring up any chaos in Redmarsh himself. The note he sent t'Devlin was an offer of alliance, an' saying that Redmarsh was now in disarray. Silly sod still has his mind set on Hearthorn's fall." Sol muses while still looking over the maps. He pauses momentarily as he considers something before continuing. "He also mentioned that he was 'established' though that just may mean his base of operations...At any rate, he may have had a hand in stirring up th' chaos but even if he did, by th' sounds o' it, us taking Krondor now won't settle things down. But it's a start."
-----Just then Sarah reenters the Temple with the guard Abram with her. Seeing Sol and Raven speaking with Rau’Triel, she seats herself away from them and keeps reading her book.
-----The Law Priest says to Sol and Raven, "If this Krondor has a keep and sufficient numbers of men to guard his stronghold, what plan have you to defeat him?"
-----Sol just stares back at Rau'Triel for a while, looking slightly bewildered. This is followed by a comfortable smile as he says, "Well, Raven wants t'try a little bit of subterfuge. Or we could just storm the place, like we did th' last one. Either way, th' end result will be th' same..."
-----Sol's confident smile shows exactly what he considers the likely conclusion.
-----Raven nods, "The Hunter will show the weakness in our prey. We will have the element of surprise on our side."
-----Raven pauses for a moment, "Rau'Triel, could we get all the gear from Krondor's men we captured?" Raven looks over at Sol, "We could have two of us dressed as a Krondor guard when we enter Redmarsh. That could prove helpful."
-----Sol shrugs, "Sure, I guess, but surely we don't have to worry about all that till we're finished at Oakwood town. That way we can amend th' plan if we're lucky enough t'have Sir Greene let Romney, Abram, Shema, and Bradley if we can find him, come along." Sol smiles slightly at seeing Sarah buried face first in her book before adding, "I was also thinking of getting Sarah getting into some dark robes. Maybe as Devlin's return message."
-----A concerned frown crosses Rau’Triel’s face. "It is a brilliant plan to be sure. However," he begins with a reluctant tone in his voice, "your prisoners, although they can be processed and escorted to the Town to be tried cannot legally be stripped of their possessions until they are jailed."
-----Swearing, he calls for a certain legal book. In the next moment, one of the scribes brings to the Law Priest a large black book that is set upon a lectern. Scanning through it, Rau’Triel turns to a page and reads it intently. Soon, he nods saying, "Yes, the accused must not be stripped of their possessions until they are jailed. This is because in the instance that their innocence has been proven, their possessions are at hand so that they may continue with their productive lives."
-----Romney stands up and adds, "If everyone is finished eating we can carry on back to Oakwood. There we can perhaps find armor and gear that matches the prisoners’. Scale mail, was it not?"
-----"Definitely done. An' definitely time we were out o' here. Thanks fer th' hospitality, yer reverence." Sol says to Rau'Triel. He then looks around the room to see if everyone else is ready to move off.
-----Raven nods and then gets up. "We're off then."
-----The building could be on fire for all the difference it makes to Sarah. She really isn't listening to anyone except the author of the spellbook she is reading.
