-----"I say we go check out the teamster's place after this, if we got nothing here." Kazel whispers. She then motions to go ahead with Gimplefwick, circling and looking for possible entry points to the building.
-----With that, the Dread Pirate and Kazel vanish inside the dark building circling around to the left of where the workers are. Seth quietly moves around to the back of the building.
-----Raven and Sol keep an eye on the men working inside and at one point, one of the workers looks around as if hearing something. He then seems to ignore what it was and continues on with his moving of the freight.
-----Whilst watching the workers, Sol had begun to quietly speak to Raven, after checking that no one was listening. He informs the hunter, "Just to keep ye up to speed, it seems we now know the locations of two hideouts of bandits and a lair of ogres. Not to mention the fact that the organizer of these bandit groups is a man named Woder, who's holed out in Oakwood town. From what I gather, Kaz, Seth and Dread have had a run in with this Woder before. I'm beginnin' t'guess why they were sent with us after all. I reckon' they had similar experiences to what we had. I'm also feelin' that there ain't no use speakin' t'Sir Hampton. More than one person I've spoken to, have shown little faith in th' man's protection of the area." Sol takes a deep breath.
-----Raven smiles and says, "Damn, you guys were busy while you were away. Good job. Things are starting to come together. At least we know who we hunt now." Raven readies his bow, "Woder huh? Only thing he'll wodering about is how we ended his days of evil." Raven smirks and gives Sol a little jab in the ribs.
-----Raven says, "Okay, times up. Lead on Sol." Raven puts away his bow and gets ready to follow Sol into the warehouse.
-----Sol returns Raven's jab to the ribs and replies with a grin, "Right. Silly way t'do this, but it's hard t'say no to the pirate." Sol heads with Raven into the warehouse.
-----When Raven and Sol enter the warehouse, Sol walks directly to the center of the building and announces, "Alright everyone, I need yer attention. As ye may all well know, a serious crime was committed here this evening. A young woman was almost killed in an attack on her person. We are here to investigate this crime on behalf of Hearthorn." Here Sol pulls out the writ for any who can and care to read it.
-----"What I need from y'all, is yer complete co-operation. The quicker we get this done, the sooner ye can get t'work, and the sooner we can deal with those responsible. What I need from ye, is to come outside with me and tell me everything that you may know about the crime. If ye don't know 'nuthin about it, then I still want ye outside, 'cause I don't want ye gettin' in the way of this specialist." He acknowledges Raven here.
-----Sol begins t'herd the workers out, but stops and adds, "Oh...One more thing. The victim of this crime happens t'be the daughter of Hearthorn's Lord Wizard. The man has a habit of knowing everything that's happened, and he may well even be watching right now. I just need ye all to know that, in case some of ye...withold information that may be vital to the case. I appreciate yer time." With that finished Sol leads them out.
-----The two workers immediately halt their work as the two adventurers enter. When Sol begins speaking, they look at him with a stunned look on their faces. One of them, a heavy-set man with a bald head, follows Sol out nodding his head. His eyes grow especially large when the warrior mentions the identity of Sarah.
-----The other one, a large man with curly black hair grumbles as he wipes sweat from his brow. He then also proceeds to follow Sol out leaving Raven and the two hidden ones alone in the building.
-----Raven proceeds to examine the area for clues. First, grabbing a torch, he starts over toward the eastern wall. As he moves between the rows, Kazel and the Dread Pirate quietly fall in behind him. They make their way toward a final row of crates. There where the crates have been moved apart, Raven indicates that this was the place where Sarah was discovered.
-----Sure enough, as the Dread Pirate had predicted, the area had already been trampled by movement of those who had found the fallen mage. However, Raven begins scanning the floor looking for anything he can find that gives a clue.
-----He carefully hands the torch over to Kazel and then stands very silent as if listening. In the quivering light, Raven seems to freeze and there for a moment, a savage countenance comes over the ranger. It seems like every sense comes alive and Raven sniffs the air resembling a fierce predator.
-----He searches behind the boxes and, freezing at one point, calls Kazel over with the light. There in the dustiness of the floor, Raven points out a pair of man-sized footprints. This does not seem remarkable until the trio realizes that that is all there is to the footprints. There are no other prints leading to or from that location.
