-----Sensing the blackness below, Thunder nervously snorts and prances as Sol tries to hold him steady.
-----"Dammit. I hate it when things turn out as expected." Sol exclaims, before twisting in his saddle to glance at the mage, "Sarah, I hope yer father gave ye information about the Darkness, 'cause we're gonna have t'deal with one now."
-----Sol jerks his attention back to the battle and curses again, "If there's a battle near one o' the gems then one o' these groups may well be working for the enemy. From what we've seen in the past it's probably the woodsmen, but we can't be sure. Ideas anyone? If not, I'm going down..." Whilst waiting for any possible ideas, he leans his head down next to Thunder's and begins whispering.
-----Pulling alongside Sol, Raven scans the battle. Raven leans forward in his saddle and snarls at the darkness, "Let’s take out what ever is behind that darkness. Where is Sarah? We'll need magic to fight this thing." Raven shifts in his saddle and tightens the grip on his short bow.
-----Panting harshly and leaning against a tree, the Dread Pirate gazes at the warlike scene below him, "Naaarrr....who’s to say it be the woodsmen that be in service to the enemy. Perhaps that black cloud has some sort o' evil power over both of the groups. I'd be thinkin that elves could escape from just about anybody in the woods if'n they were of a mind to. I think we need to disable as many as we can o' both groups down there fer questionin. And just hope we don’t fall under the sway of any magic ourselves."
-----The Dread Pirate then draws two of his throwing knives and races down the hillside, trying to stay out of melee range while he begins liberally flipping daggers into the fray.
-----"Blast him." Sol yells. He looks at Seth and Kazel and explains, "We already know what the globe of Darkness is. And it shouldn't be affecting those people. But it will grow if we don't stop it. Now that fool could have both elves and woodsmen attacking us. But they're not the important thing here. The Darkness is." Sol looks visibly frustrated, but is obviously attempting to regain composure.
-----Raven leans in and talks to Sol in a low tone.
-----Sol nods and replies to Raven in the same tone. He then looks back at Sarah, hoping that she has a solution to the Darkness.
-----Seth eyes the Darkness and regrets not spending time with Sarah yet to find out how she dealt with them before. As he dismounts, he poses an idea for everyone’s consideration. "Maybe we could go back to the Inn and have an extra breakfast. I'm sure things here will be settled down whence we return? No?"
-----He ties The El Binko's bridle straps to a ready waiting tree and makes sure his pouch is slightly open and his sling is ready. As an afterthought, he makes sure his scroll case is still around his shoulders, although he is not sure what he might do with the magic it contains just yet.
-----Seth smiles at Sol, "Well maybe if we were a more caring and sharing group and we knew everything you did about the darkness? Anyways, shall I render some of the combatants useless by means of grease or not?"
-----Sol frowns, but seems to unable to be angry at the musician, "Seth, please. If anyone's actions are working against the group..." He shakes his head, seemingly ashamed to go further.
-----Clearing his throat, Sol continues, and his words come out in a tumble due to the urgency of the situation, "Any action against either group could send them against us. An' despite what Dread said, it doesn't figure that the elves are working with the Dark. It's slowly destroying the forest. I can't see 'em being a party to that. Sure that applies to the woodsmen too, but there's no guarantee that these guys are actually woodsmen. Of course till we find out, we can't attack them either."
-----Sol glances around and quickly suggests, "Look, while Sarah is readying, let's begin circling around the battle and get to the Darkness. We certainly don't want either group thinking we're in league with the followers of the Bitch of the Night."
-----"Go on ahead then," Kazel says as she looks at the battle below. "I'm no help with the dark. But I'll be watching your backs, in case whoever's behind this is still here." With that, Kazel will follow the rest at a distance and look for any good, hidden vantage point to observe both the battle and the darkness with.
-----The Dread Pirate carefully makes his way to a comfortable throwing range a few feet from two of the combatants. Running out from behind a tree, he finds a hiding place behind a small bush. On the other side, a lean and muscular wood elf with orange rust colored hair brandishes his short sword at a woolly bearded woodsman, who likewise waves his long sword at his opponent.
-----With a sudden move, Gimplefwick leaps from behind the bush and throws his blades. The first one plants itself in the ground next to the woodsman’s foot. With a startled yell, the embattled human catches a quick glimpse of the Dread Pirate. The shock of the man’s cry causes the elf to turn slightly to follow the man’s line of vision.
