-----The Dread Pirate squats down and begins pulling at the boots on the tattooed wizard’s feet. He pulls off his own cheesy footwear and dons the new boots. He then tries to run about to see if he moves any faster, saying, "Lets see if'n we can figger out how these guys operated. Might come in handy later on down the road."
-----The pair of boots, a nice set of footwear with an impressive shine to them, slides easily off the dead body. As soon as the Dread Pirate places them on, they amazingly begin to shrink in size until they conform to the halfling’s foot size!
-----Standing up, Gimplefwick tests his weight in each one and they appear to fit snuggly and comfortably. As the halfling begins to run, most of the guards’ mouths fly open. The Dread Pirate zips around the interior of the barn building with the speed of a fast horse.
-----"By Moradin’s Hammer!" swears Runik as he turns to watch.
-----"Watch the pits!" Brandel warns as his face registers alarm and amazement.
-----Marast simply frowns and furrows his brow as Krord simply turns round and round keeping his wide eyes on the speeding halfling.
-----Once he finishes with his testing, the Dread Pirate confiscates the black longsword from the wizard's side and proceeds to hack the head off of the tattooed wizard, stating, "I don't want to see these scurvy bastards comin back from the dead. I recommend we take their heads with us and burn 'em at the first opportunity. By the way, where's Dalyor?"
-----Seth tries to search the other wizards before the Dread pirate can. He nods at the suggestion of cutting off the heads. "Everyone, we did a great thing today. Has anyone seen any books on these wizards or papers?"
-----The Dread Pirate grins as Seth hurries to search the other wizards, "Arrr, now I think since there be three dead wizards and three of us, we should each pick one. With an extra share of gold fer our new friends fer a job well done. Since I've already absconded with this wizard's loot, that leaves the other two fer you. Further, if we do find any scrolls, books or whatnot, it should go to Seth, since nobody else can use it. All this one had were these boots, another black sword fer me collection, and some dried up old spell components."
-----The Dread Pirate proceeds to make out a little tag and attaches it to his new black longsword. If anyone looks, the tag states, 'tattooed wizard, cheese factory'. He then places the new sword on his saddle next to Woder's black longsword.
-----Kazel asks, "Well where did you hear there was supposed to be four? You know there was one killed back at the keep." She goes out to drag in the dead invisible wizard and dumps him onto the pile along with burnt face and lightning man. She then goes around putting up the windows and doors so they don't look like ruins in a warzone under daylight before searching the body. "This one's mine I s'pose. And yes where's Dalyor?"
-----By now the invisible wizard’s body has stopped smoldering enough to let Kazel drag him. As she moves the big door with the help of all four of the guards, the morning light begins shining brightly from a clear sky. The half-elven butcher then inspects the body.
-----Suddenly Dalyor appears from behind one of the large vats and blinks around in the oncoming morning glare. "Is it . . , is it safe to c-come out?" he asks, shakily looking about. Stopping himself short, he sniffs the air twice and a look of wonderment comes over him. "Ya know, me thinks me head’s clearin’ up!"
-----Seth replies, "Well that wizard in the pit, all I got from him, was some spell components and another black sword. If any of you bodyguards care for the sword help yourself."
-----After watching Dread's antics with the boots, Seth goes and pulls off the boots of the wizard from the pit and tries them on.
-----Before running he suggests, "I think we should all go to my inn, hire a few more rooms have a big feast and then go and buy those bows and crossbows we wanted, then have a sleep!"
-----He now holds up a warning finger, "Do not forget that there are four more painful business adversaries we need to deal with!" looking at Kazel and Dread knowingly.
-----Alas, as Seth tries on the boots, there is no miraculous display of changing and when the musician tries to stand and run in them, they only serve to trip him. Seth, lands on his belly and Krord anticipating a magical display, groans with a small sound of disappointment. He then quickly rushes over and picks Seth up in his beefy arms. Setting him gently down, the hulking guard commences to brush the half-elf off, but almost accidentally knocks him over again.
