-----"I guess we have t'make the choice now. I'd still like Raven t'ride t'Oakwood, and get Sir Greene to send some men over here. That'd also leave him t'dispense the land's own justice over these guys. Whilst yer getting him, the rest o' us can recuperate, before the followers o' Dark make an appearance this next coming evening. We take them out, then start headin' towards this cave. That'd be my preference for what we do next."
-----Sol takes a deep breath before continuing, "Or we deal with these ones now. I don't think...I'm ready t'take their lives like this. Honestly I hope I never do become 'ready'. But, fer one thing, all o' us are Hearthorn agents o' one type or another. Any o' ye can carry out the thankless task o' execution. I doubt any lord would hold it against us. If it doesn't bother ye, and ye willing to do it now, then we'd be free to move on t'Oakwood now. Problem is, most o' us need some sleep, and we might end up missing some o' the Dark ones coming here, if we leave."
-----Ending this talk, Sol rubs his eyes slowly with his right hand and mutters, "I really do need sleep. Did I make any sense at all?"
-----Raven says, "Okay, I'll head out right now to speak with Sir Greene." Raven glances over toward the keep, "Didn't Woder say there were other keeps like this one around here? So we're going to skip those and strike right at their heart, huh? Makes sense to me." As the rest of the group has spoken, Raven starts to grab a few supplies and then prepares to leave for Oakwood.
-----The Dread Pirate throws his hands up in the air and states, "Shiver me timbers, I'm so saddened that ye think the less of me fer stickin that scurvy dog that ambushed me. And here I've been so concerned about yer good opinion. Oh, whatever shall I do? Woe is me." Finished with his theatrical sarcasm, the Dread Pirate stalks back into the keep, to rejoin his less morally encumbered compatriots.
-----"Dread." Sol calls tiredly, "Bloody hell, I thought made the point that I didn't think less o' ye. Stop looking fer criticisms in my words when they aren't there."
-----A few moments later Rinda exits the keep and sees Sol and Sarah standing together in the courtyard. The guards remain huddled quietly near their dead comrade.
-----Seeing Raven preparing his horse, the huntress trots over to him. "Where we are heading?" she asks him. The wolf limps up to them both. Looking down, she pets the wolf’s head and tells Raven, "I don’t think your friend here will be able to travel fast."
-----Sol shows Sarah a weary half-smile, before raising his voice to the prisoners, "Alright, you lot. Start slowly movin' yer way inside. Wi' any luck, Kazel's found ye all a damp, cold place fer ye to wait fer the authorities." That said, Sol begins to escort them all inside.
-----The guards move sluggishly to their feet and begin to climb the steps up to the front door of the keep. Sol then leads them inside.
-----Though more than an hour away from dawn’s first light, the dim twilight illuminates enough of the area to fully see all of courtyard. One of the wooden buildings inside the walls proves to be a stable as the sound of a horse’s whinny is heard from within. The sound of birds already fills the trees in the surrounding woods.
