-----Seth grasps Sarah's shoulder and says, "Come on, let’s go inside and cast charm or friends on Woder. He might be a little bit more responsive in answering our questions about getting to the cave. I’ll distract him while you cast from behind him."
-----"I haven't memorized the charm spell for quite awhile now." Sarah says. "I had some problems with it in the past. I guess I could try it tomorrow, though. That is unless you want to cast it now. I'd actually prefer that." Sarah says, not wanting to have anything to do with someone connected to those who stole Aaron and the gem.
-----Seth holds his hands out wide. "To tell you the truth, Sarah, I do have that spell memorized but I have never cast it before. Well I shall walk in now and try and cast it. If I fail we can both try again tomorrow."
-----Back inside, Raven yells from the kitchen, "If Kaz doesn't need it, I'd like to look at the blade."
-----"Doing alright... need a little more sleep maybe." Kazel shrugs as she answers the Dread Pirate. "My black sword? Mean the one I got from that old fool? It's just sitting in a box rotting away. You or Raven can have that too when we get back... I'll take my dwarven blade over that anytime. Or, you know, give it to Sarah so she won't have to borrow my swords for summary executions next time."
-----She then saunters over to the kitchen to see what Raven is trying to do with the cook. "Oh and, I wouldn't use that thing until someone can figure it out. If it's really tainted, then Woder here's as much a free agent as water is dry."
-----Sol finds he has to remove the gag from Woder for the villain to answer him. After the man with the strange eyes stretches his mouth, he wearily nods his head and quips, "It is so nice of you all to tie and untie me as you see fit when the urge strikes you." Sighing, he answers the warrior, "The power of the black gems grow over time between the cycles of the moon. The gem that you had encountered had been in the wilderness for a few months."
-----Woder turns a disdainful look toward Sol waiting to see if he is to be gagged again.
-----The Dread Pirate eyes the black longsword speculatively and yells back at Raven, "I dunno, Raven. This blade is obviously highly enchanted. It's probably worth quite a bit. I'd have to be gettin somethin of commensurate value fer it. Say, one of those magical wish rings with the genie inside would be nice. I've always wanted one of those. Every halfling I know has one or two, except fer me. I've always felt left out and resentful because of it. Or maybe if ye have somethin else that ye think I might want, I'll be willin to listen to ye."
-----Sol cuffs Woder lightly on the back of his head, as if reprimanding a child. He grins easily and replies, "Now, now...behave. Ye get yerself caught, now ye have t'act the prisoner. Just so you can loosen your tongue before I gag ye again, tell me...My countryman, Repe; He's in this cave wi' Devlin?"
-----Raven stops what he is doing and stares at Dread. Raven finally says, "Trade you?" Raven looks at Rinda, "Is he serious?" Raven picks up a small wedge of cheese and starts to eat it. Raven shakes his head and then smiles (or it could a snarl) at Dread, "I'm in a good mood friend, so I'll just believe you're pulling my leg. Wish ring...that's rich. If the blade feels right, you can have one of the charmed short swords." Raven takes another bite and then says, "Tell you what Dread. If we do find a wish ring, I'll see you get it. Oh ya, did you bring down all the guards like you said you were?"
-----The Dread Pirate eyes Raven suspiciously, "Avast there, matey. I think I'll just keep ahold of it then. Maybe someone else will want it more than ye seem to. Besides which, me cutlass is already plenty charmed enough. I could use somethin different, besides another weapon."
-----At Raven's inquiry about hauling the guards inside, the Dread Pirate slaps his forehead and looks at Raven wide-eyed, "Shiver me timbers. Let's see about that. I figure I weigh in at about one-fifth what those guards weigh and ye want me to be haulin 'em around like a sack o' oats. Right, I'll just hoist 'em up on me herculean shoulders, armor and all and pile 'em up in here fer ye all nice and neat. Sure, I'll bring in two or three of 'em at a time. Maybe ye should quit stuffin yer face, get off yer dead arse and do somethin constructive yerself. I will go get the horses though."
-----The Dread Pirate still grumbling, walks over and looks down at Woder for a moment. Then, apparently for some mysterious reason known only to the Dread Pirate, he thumps Woder on the head and regags him.
-----Sol sighs dramatically as Dread thumps and regags Woder. Once Dread has left to fetch the mounts, Sol bends down and once more ungags the 'unfortunate' prisoner. Smirking, he says, "Dear me, the effect ye seem to have on people seem's t'be universal. Don't let a little abuse stop ye answering my question, though. Where's Repe?"
-----A hateful glare follows the Dread Pirate out the door from the assassin. "I cannot say for sure," hisses Woder, "I would assume he is there. I think Devlin would think he is too important to leave at one of the other strongholds."
