-----Suddenly the angry glare is gone, replaced by a wide-eyed look as if he had said too much.
-----Sol snaps as if to attention, "Too important?!?" Sol walks over to a table, grabs a chair and hauls it over to Woder. Taking a seat, he leans back and asks, "Why is he too important to leave him out o' close reach? An' ye'd better answer, and answer thoroughly, otherwise the pirate will have a new playmate for the day."
-----Raven stops and listens as Dread speaks. Raven frowns and then says, "At least now I know how you think of me, 'friend'. I won't forget it."
-----In one violent motion Raven sweeps his arm across the table of food he was helping to put together for the group. Food and drink fly across the room.
-----Raven lets out a long slow breath and then turns towards Rinda, "Sorry Rinda. I know that was foolish, but I do feel better now. I'm going to call in the wolf and then I'll start to bring the guards down here."
-----Raven seems to be acting normal and even in a fair mood as he sprints outside to call the wolf in.
-----Kazel looks at the two funny as she drums her fingers on the table. She watches them both leave, then takes the cook aside and begin to have a little chat with him.
-----Seth enters back into the room and maneuvers himself so that Woder is not looking directly at him. He then concentrates and mumbles some words as he attempts to charm Woder.
-----Sarah follows close behind Seth, trying very hard not to look at Woder. The black paint on her face has been smeared by her tears, and it’s rather obvious she has cried for awhile.
-----A smirk runs across Woder’s face as he watches the explosive reaction from Raven. "How would you expect to face Devlin with your own allies at each other’s throats?"
-----This draws a fierce glare from the huntress who then leaves to get more food from the kitchen to set out on the table.
-----Looking up at Sol, the assassin rolls his eyes and says somewhat with reservation, "I suppose I shall truly find myself on the run from my former associates." Nodding, he begins to tell Sol, "It was learned that the young gem cutter has, on his travels, found ways to power the gems so that they may be used against the dark goddess."
-----At that moment, Seth casts his spell and Sol sees Woder flinch. A concerned look comes over his face and he blinks his eyes several times and begins to look around as if he is searching for someone.
-----Still looking at Woder and not aware that a spell was cast, Sol continues to talk, "Against the dark goddess? If he's such a threat to their plans, then why haven't they killed him already? What use to them is he alive?" The warrior frowns as Woder looks around, and he raises his voice slightly, "Hey! Pay attention here, an' answer th' questions."
-----Woder answers with a frown on his face and his words seem to come a bit harder now. "I . . . I am . . . not sure. I think . . . she believes that . . . he knows more about the crystals than are revealed in his writings." The assassin shakes his head and then looks at Sol although he still appears distracted. "She may be . . . torturing him to find out more."
-----Sol reacts to Woder's answer with a growl. Getting off his chair, he turns his back on the prisoner and begins to head to the door. Seeing Seth and Sarah, the Gorian brightens somewhat. Sol then strides over to them and wordlessly holds up the sack containing the crystal to Sarah. His face is questioning.
-----A whimpering noise escapes from Sarah at the mention of Aaron being tortured. Cautiously she reaches out and takes the sack from Sol.
-----Seth not quite sure what to do now that he has cast the spell, moves over and sits in front of Woder. "Hello Woder, How are you feeling? Would you like a cup of water?" He watches him for a few seconds "You know, Woder, you have been playing with some very naughty boys and girls, haven't you?"
-----Seth looks at Sol. "Well Woder, I think you may be able to help me find Aaron Repe. It is probably best if you tell me all about this terrible darkness that is going on. But first let's ask Sol Herron to unbind you so you can sit upright and enjoy that cup of water."
-----Sol gapes in reply to Seth. His mouth works silent words for a moment, the confusion obvious. Eventually the unaware warrior says to Seth in a cautious tone, "Yer kidding right? I can understand th' need t'be kind to a helpless man. But he is tied up fer a reason. I don't think th' friendly tack will work here...an' 'sides, releasing him is just a little too friendly." It is apparent that Sol doesn't mean to be rude, but he definitely doesn't understand what's going on.
-----Woder looks at Seth closely and seems to relax. "I . . I . know you," he says, "You are from Hearthorn?" The assassin’s tone in his voice takes on a more pleasant sound as if renewing an old acquaintance. Even though he frowns, he continues to search Seth’s face with interest.
-----By now, the shadows and dark corners in the great hall seem less deep as the first hints of twilight begin to lighten the sky through the high windows.
