-----Jeilin places her hand on the stone for a feel of the workmanship as she looks around the room. On a particularly undisturbed and dusty part, she traces a few Lathanian words on the stone with her finger.
-----While Garrison and Lovan inspect the room, Dilton stands guard at the door. No door is seen here except for the one begin guarded.
-----After a few moments, Garrison notices what Jeilin is doing and comes over to her. “Have you found something?” he asks.
-----"Well this can't be it." Sol grumbles as if the architecture of the place was a direct insult at himself. He spins on his heel and starts back towards the door, slowing down as he passes near Jeilin and Garrison. There he peers over the hunter's shoulder as he tries in vain to work out what is of interest.
-----"Nothing here," Jeilin looks a bit sheepish at the attention as she stands up and dusts off her hands. "This place has a strange entrance, if it's just a cellar to the village above."
-----“It is strange that this place is here under a guard post,” Garrison answers. “I wonder if they used this as a shelter in case of attack to the village.” The woodsman then shrugs as he looks around at the others.
-----“Bah!” Lovan suddenly says in the dimness by one of the walls. “You have given up too easily.” The Storm Priest had been tapping on the walls with his warhammer. With Sol on the move, the illumination provided by the sword had changed where Lovan was. In a perturbed fashion, the Storm Priest stands with his hands on his hips.
-----A chuckle comes from Garrison and he says, “I really think these walls here are solid. Maybe we can check that first round room. It was too dark in there when we were first attacked to see.”
-----Sol waves his hand dismissively at the room and decides as he walks to the door, "A'right, let's search th' first room thoroughly, an' if it's as dull as this one, we'll start our search o' th' village." The Gorian proceeds to conduct his own search and wall tapping of the first room, before helping the others search by providing the light when they need it.
-----Jeilin stays behind in the room for a bit, listening for any sounds or, perhaps, seeing if there is any moisture seeping in.
-----"Sometimes things are as simple as they look," she says. "Sometimes."
-----Garrison follows behind Sol while Dilton stays behind to accompany Jeilin. As they walk into the first room, Garrison says, “There could be goblins hiding out up in the village, but I guess they would like to stay down here where it’s dark. That’s why I’m betting this was a small raiding band we’ve come across.”
-----“Bah,” Lovan blurts out as he follows Sol and Garrison, “it’s a waste of time down here.” The Storm Priest then moves over to the steps that lead to the outside. He then stops at the foot of the steps where light from outside filters down.
-----While the contrary Priest hovers around the steps, Sol and Garrison move to one side of the larger circular room. Very quickly, by the light of the sword, another closed door (much like the one Sol and Garrison crashed through) comes into view.
-----Sol tests the door and it easily opens to his touch. He then pushes it farther open and calls to the others. “Wait, Sol!” Garrison says, but it is too late as the warrior is already in the new room. Just as Sol had stepped in, muffled noises were heard from within!
-----From the light of the Lathanian sword, the room revealed here is a small square shaped room, just 20 feet across. Small coffers are gathered on the stone floor to one side.
-----But it is what Sol sees near the floor on the other side of the room that causes him to freeze and his heart to momentarily race. There someone is bound! Sitting up against the wall is a young woman with rope tied firmly around her waist and arms, and more binding her legs. A wide dirty cloth is tied around her head effectively gagging her mouth. Wide frightened eyes glare out from underneath thick blond hair and she slinks down and away from Sol’s light in a panicked fashioned. She whimpers as her gag muffles her screams.
-----The woman cannot obviously see Sol as the light from the Lathanian sword slightly blinds her. But . . . that golden blond hair! So much like Sarah Night! Could it be?!
-----Halfway through, Sol's strangled gasp changes into a deep rumbling growl of anger. In the mind's eye, scenarios of how this could be Sarah here flashed through his mind. But... no. It can't be, and frankly it didn't matter right now. Whoever the lady was, she was in danger.
-----Mindful of her fear, the Gorian called to her, hoping his own emotions weren't too apparent, "Take heart, madam. We'll see ye free an' safe." He moves in quickly to her side, and shines his sword around in an arc to determine if the room is empty of other occupants before reaching to ungag the hapless prisoner. He was actually rather hoping there were more goblins around, as the image of the woman struggling had put Sol firmly in the mood to tear all manner of foes limb from limb.
