-----However, Sarah's eyes fall upon one who stands just a few feet beyond them. Sol Herron stands facing the guards between them with his magnificent sword in hand. Looking very determined and very gallant, the young warrior's stern expression toward the guards quickly turns to one of awe as he sees her.
-----Sarah is somewhat conscious of Lord Marshall Lone who stands just to the left of Sol with anger registering on his face. "Arrest the Gorian!" he instructs the guards.
-----"No!!!" Sarah all but shrieks and hurriedly moves to place herself between Sol and Marshall Lone. "Put your swords away!" She says sternly to Sol and then faces the guards and the Lord Marshall, "I am the heir of the Ryn-Volquist family! If that means anything to you, you will step down and cancel your last order. Now!" Sarah snaps, as if promising that anyone who lays a finger on Sol will regret it.
-----At Sarah's word, Sol's sword rams back into its sheath. The look of shock and awe on his face slowly fades into one that hasn't been present in a fair while; joy. Any attempt to contain it fails miserably, and the Gorian can't help but let a grin spread across his face. Even his distaste at the Lord Marshall fades temporarily, though he does turn to face Cedric Lone, in order to gauge any reaction the man might have.
-----The Lord Marshall's face remains dark with anger, but for the moment he keeps his wits about him. Perhaps it is for the fact that the guards have hurriedly sheathed their own swords following the young mage's orders.
-----"This is not . . . ." Lone begins with protest in his voice.
-----"Lord Marshall Lone," a voice lightly, but sternly says from the doors through which Sarah appeared. Everyone quickly turns to see Lady Evalyn standing there with her chin raised and her eyes on the Lord Marshall. "My daughter's words are true," she continues, "you will step down and cancel your last order."
-----Just then the outer doors open with some force and in walks Raven followed by the rest of Sol and Sarah's companions. Rinda stands beside Raven and glances around the entry hall like a wary animal. Garrison and Lovan stride in; the woodsman appearing alert and the storm priest with a strange lofty look upon his face. They are followed by three warriors in chain mail Sarah has not seen before; one a red-haired man, another with a close shaved head and the last one a bronze-skinned bald fighter. This last trio looks a bit unused to the regalness of their surroundings and seems a bit gruff. "Now this be a right spiffy place," the red-haired one mutters.
-----The guards by the doors immediately take defensive positions as well as the two close to Lady Evalyn in protecting the Lady Seer.
-----"My men posted outside . . .," Lord Lone begins to say, his temper flaring anew.
-----"Are just fine," Raven responds glaring at the Lord Marshall, "We just told them to take a break."
-----The Hunter then looks at the guards closest to Rinda and him bearing their swords. "Take it easy," Raven says, almost with a growl, "We just came to see how our friends were doing."
-----Raven then casts a glance at Sol and an acknowledging nod toward Sarah and asks, "How are we?"
-----Zepharon stands off to the left still holding Veil in one arm. The Lord Wizard smiles, although the diviner keeps her attention focused on Sarah.
-----Sol glances at Sarah as he answers Raven, "I think we're well." The warrior takes a quick look around the room, taking note of the various people, before turning to Sarah's natural mother. With a respectful bow of his head, he acknowledges Rushfen's ruler, "Lady."
-----An expression of slight confusion dawns on the Stormbringer's face as he half mutters to Sarah, "What now . . . ?"
-----Sarah, who still has her back turned to the man she loves, takes a step closer to him and mutter out of the side of her mouth. "We wait to see what sort of reception you guys get."
-----"MiLady," the Lord Marshall says, sternly scanning the room at all in the chamber, "This is not safe. My guards have perhaps been waylaid by these scoundrels."
-----"It is all right, Lord Marshall," Lady Evalyn says softly, "Perhaps my daughter's friends can explain why they are here."
-----"They are here out of concern for Sarah!" Veil suddenly interjects; the diviner's angry voice brings an echoing silence to the proceedings.
-----This takes even Zepharon by surprise who pulls Veil into his embrace whispering comforting words to her. Veil continues to glare at Evalyn. The Lady Seer, ignoring the outburst, raises her chin slightly as she looks at Sol.
-----Sol holds the Lady Evalyn's gaze answers straight and sure as he replies, "I just wanted t'know if Sarah was alright. I still have no idea what's going on, an' it's not really my business, but Sarah herself is. Since there was some unexpected opposition t'that plan, my friends helped me along, fer either Sarah's or my own sake."
