-----“Er . . uh . . right,” Strolum says, his focus lost with the demise of the hobgoblin. “I be a’thinkin’ maybe we needs t’get a bit closer afore we tries n’ free some people. Maybe a disguise fer us t’take ‘em surprise.”
-----“You really think we’d fool the enemy just by dressing in their armor?” Garrison says as he picks up a humanoid sword. In the next moment, he shakes his head at it and throws it to the ground in disgust.
-----Dilton looks at Jeilin and asks, “Ye have any thoughts, Milady?”
-----Raven takes a step back from Sol and studies the warrior. Raven says nothing, but his eyes show Raven is reassessing Sol.
-----Raven then shrugs, "Maybe if we came in at night with a storm going we might get into town. Start a fire to distract them?" Raven sighs, "Usually I'm trying to find ways to escape towns, not sneak into them."
-----"Yes, a storm would be ideal. Hence my question earlier, Lovan." Sol speaks clinically, as his eyes search out the storm priest. "I ask again, can ye, wi' th' blessing o' th' Great Rager, call us a storm tonight? It'd aid our cause in a number o' ways."
-----Whisper snapped his finger twice, pointing at Strolum and Garrison, then gave them both a thumbs up and nodding distinctly at the looted Hobgoblin gear.
-----Looking at Lovan, Raven and Sol, he mimicked a drinking gesture and then rapidly waved his right hand in front of his face, afterwards once again nodding at the looted gear.
-----"Even if a storm can be called," Jeilin says, "the most worrying are those black riders who can hold persons." The priestess eyes each of the group in turn, frowning. "I think, any battle in the town lasting more than a few moments will find us easily captured, or the children set to burn."
-----"Perhaps we can set up some distraction, the stranger the better, to lure out patrols with these priests for another ambush?" She gestures towards the now dead humanoid, but looking away. "Or, since the hobgoblin said the head priest runs the town, he might have the command to order a stand down if we can somehow hold him hostage."
-----“Call a storm?” Lovan suddenly says with a growl, “Nay! I can call on the Fury of the Great Rager if a storm is near.”
-----“Bloody ‘ell!” Strolum exclaims in his hobgoblin get-up. To Lovan, he says, “Whad der yer means? Ye be a’tellin’ us ye can’t call a storm n’ ye bein’ a priest o’ th’ storm god?”
-----Oddly Lovan seemed to ignore the warrior’s comment and began searching the grayness of the sky.
-----Turning to Jeilin, Jyan suddenly speaks up, “You might have the right idea. If we can get close enough to cut the head off of the snake, that might shake up the rest of army.”
-----“Still . . . like what Milady Jeilin might a’be sayin’” Dilton croaks, “they be a’havin’ th’edge wit’ th’ younguns n’ all.”
-----Pil picks up a huge hobgoblin sword and swings it. “Bet we coulda take out them hobgobs round th’ barn quick,” he growls.
-----“That’s one problem,” Jyan says aloud, “do we strike different places in the town or concentrate our efforts at one location?”
-----"We split." Sol eyes Jeilin briefly before shaking his head slightly, "It was a good thought, but there are too many lives at stake fer us t'chance their caving in over their leader. In fact wi' foes like this, I doubt they'd care if they lose whoever's at th' top. More t'th' point there's too much chance they'd kill th' villagers as well as sacrificing their head. Same wi' luring them out, I fear. If we show too much o' a hand now, they may well go ahead an' start killing innocents. A fire on th' far side o' town isn't a bad idea, but we may need everyone we have. We'll see."
-----The Gorian starts to pace as he talks, "So we divide. One group is going t'hit those at th' barn. Night, speed an' maybe disguise wi' be that method. Aim t'kill th' immediate guards 'round th' barn, an' get th' children out. We'll cover what happens after that in a moment."
-----"Th' second group relies on stealth, t'make their way t'th' inn. Kill whoever holds th' old folk. As t'what happens after that, we'll need t'decide on that. Whether ye barricade yerselves inside th' place, holding out or try an' get them out of town immediately, I haven't yet worked out."
-----"I realise th' black riders an' possibly this witch are still th' main threat. We're simply going t'have t'deal wi' them as they come. If we see them on th' field o' battle, make them yer first targets, an' beat them anyway ye can." It's apparent Sol has more to say, but he stops himself and waits for the others to speak their mind.
-----Lovan smiles and turning from the sky, he uncharacteristically asks, “While the children are freed and the inn assaulted, should I pay a visit to those black horned bastards?”
-----“As far as stealth,” Garrison says, “that means Raven, Rinda, Whisper and me. So we wait until the most of the humanoids are drunk again tonight?” The woodsman looks at Raven and the elf.
