-----The former prisoners remain silent but fall upon the defeated hobgoblins grabbing up more weapons as they go. So it is that as Sol and those with him reach the village square, they find the remaining hobgoblin troop disorganized but still surly.
-----Against a backdrop of smoldering tents that have suffered the last blast of lightning is assembled a gathering of about thirty hobgoblins, some of them leaders among their soldiers. To the north of the square, Sol catches a glimpse of Jeilin, Lovan and the others a few yards away from the barn containing the children. The guards that stood guard there are nowhere to be seen. To Sol’s left, he sees that lights are still on in the ground floor of the inn.
-----Sol grimaces in thought, hoping that Raven's team had managed to achieve what they were sent out for. This could fare badly for those held inside the inn otherwise. To those of the villagers with him, the Gorian whispers harshly through the steadily increasing rain, "Yer children are held in th' barn, but it was rigged to burn. It looks like th' guards have been dealt wi' however; th' others there are my companions. I'm going t'start on these hobs, when th' fighting starts, get those young ones out of the barn - I'm not sure if th' rain will be enough if it starts alight."
-----Squaring himself, Commander Ulthang begins to stride purposefully towards th' hobgoblins that appear to be in charge of those around the tents.
-----Sol notices that the hobgoblin soldiers are standing with weapons drawn while some work to put out a fire started by the lightning strike on the tent area. The soldiers for the most part look very alert, but very cautious as if unnerved by the current situation. One large guard who looks to be a captain of sorts eyes the approaching Gorian, but makes no sign of recognition.
-----As the rain continues to come down and lighting occasionally flashes, Sol can hear a familiar voice off toward the barn. It is Lovan giving his usual ranting about the Rager.
-----There would be no going back to Ulthang now, as Sol did not want to risk sending these humanoids on a new 'mission' only to have them spot something that the Gorian would not want them to see. Thankfully, the uncertainty amongst the hobgoblins only made Sol's life easier and the coming death of their officer was likely to only add to that. He also had the added pleasure of relishing the rain as it streamed down; soaking, cleansing.
-----Marching deceptively up to the one Sol thought might be the captain, the Lathanian blade flashes out at the evil one once in range.
