-----Thunder returns his hooves to the ground as Sol tries to pivot in his saddle to meet the last offending orc. The Lathanian blade swoops over the orc's head and, for a moment, a fearful expression takes hold of the humanoid's features.
-----Garrison draws back with his axe and brings it across his foe's neck. The weapon cleaves through and even though it doesn't take its head off, the orc is killed!
-----Just then, the edge of the hill darkens and as everyone looks up, a score of more orcs snarls down, raising cruel swords and other weapons.
-----Caranip's eyes grow as she peeps out under Sarah's arm. "W-would that be e-e-enough for magic?" she asks squeakingly of her mistress.
-----Lovan says nothing and strangely takes a deep breath as he pauses. Strolum, Dilton and Pil raise their swords giving a strange battlecry, which in their variety of voices, oddly seems to harmonize with each other.
-----"Spies!" a strong looking orc atop the hill yells as he looks down on the adventurers' party. "Rip, Slash and Destroy them!" The rest of the orcs begin howling as they run and hop down the hill.
-----The orc still standing beside Sol changes its expression. It looks up at the young warrior with an evil smile as it sneers at him.
-----Sarah grins. "Yes, Caranip," She says simply. "Although if you put twenty orcs in a cage with Sol or Raven I know who I'd bet on."
-----Sarah calculates the distance between herself and the orcs. A handful of rose petals appears in the mage's palm and she blows them towards the orcs as she chants magic words.
-----Raven locks his gaze on the leader, "He'll do for now..." With blades at the ready, Raven starts towards the leader. Raven advances towards the orcs at a steady controlled pace.
-----Sol's return gaze to the orc is one of complete dismissal. He wheels Thunder towards the oncoming wave, and calls to his companions, "One o' ye deal w'this laggart." With a whoop of excitement, the Gorian spurs his mount alongside Raven, and as he nears the orcs, a call of blessing to Strator is given.
-----As the orcs collide with the adventurers, it is Sol and Raven who strike first! The Lathanian blade quickly pierces the chest of a rushing orc. It screams its death cry as it falls to the ground.
-----Raven finds he has to cut down two of the orcish soldiers as the leader waits a bit higher on the hill. Very quickly, however, the ranger punches his twin swords through the chain armor and kills both, barely breaking his stride.
-----As Sarah's spell works its way up the hill, five of the orcs fall as the magic takes its effect. Their unconscious bodies noisily hit the ground with the clang of their metal shields and swords.
-----"Mistress!" Caranip squeals excitedly, "That was so excellent! Can I cast my spell now?"
-----Rinda begins chanting a prayer to the Great Hunter that sounds somehow familiar. However, unknowingly her position leaves her defenseless to the onrushing orcs. Before she is aware, an orcish blade flashes through the air and strikes her across her lower torso, slightly injuring her. She grunts in pain as she falls to her knees with her concentration broken. The orc stands over her ready to strike again.
-----Strolum misses as he swings at the orc who stood alongside Sol before he charged up the hill. The red-haired warrior yells to Pil to run to Rinda's aid.
-----The bronzed-skinned warrior sprints toward the downed huntress and her orcish foe. With a wild frantic shout, he runs while his eyes seem ablaze. As the orc turns its attention to him, Pil draws his sword out to his side before sweeping it back in an arc. The warrior's blade cleaves through the orc's neck sending its head flying off to the side. Pil then takes a defensive stance over the huntress.
-----By this time, Raven makes his way to the orcish leader, unaware of what has transpired to Rinda with the sounds of battle raging about. The orc, its face dark with hate as well as grime, hefts a great battleaxe over its head. Before it can bring its weapon down, Raven leaps toward it shoving his sword into its gut and then up toward its chest cavity. A sudden onrush of black blood reveals the piercing of the humanoid's heart and the enemy falls dead.
-----"Flee before the Wrath of the Great Rager!" Lovan yells as two orcs charge him. The storm priest stands defiantly before them with his arms raised toward the sky with his warhammer held overhead. Within moments, both orcs drop their weapons running as fast as they can back up the hill.
-----Dilton carves into the orc that Strolum had missed a few moments ago. The humanoid drops to the ground, not dead but gravely wounded.
-----Sol quickly turns Thunder and rams his sword through the chest of another orc, instantly killing it. Another humanoid rushes up and jabs at Sol, but misses him.
-----At the same time, another orc rakes his sword at Raven scratching up the hunter's right arm.
