-----Sol swings his sword down but the orc moves to avoid it. It then grasps its own sword and clumsily swings at Thunder. The stallion has enough sense to move and turn so that Sol has a better angle at it. The young warrior pierces the vile thing's neck and the orc falls back dead.
-----The last standing orc dodges Garrison and Lovan and begins to scamper away. Pil very quickly maneuvers in front of it and slashes across it. It drops to the ground close to death. It then raises its hand as if to ward off anymore attacks.
-----"Let me tend to the wolf," Rinda says grimly as the animal shies away from Sarah. She holds a bandage across her own belly as she adds, "Garrison looks to be the most wounded."
-----The huntress then calls the wolf to her side.
-----Strolum and Dilton run up to take care of the other badly wounded orc.
-----Sarah steps aside to let Rinda tend the wolf, as the beast had not seemed very keen on letting the mage help it. Instead Sarah walks to Garrison. "Let me see your wound." She asks of the woodsman, as she gently moves any of the big man's armor out of the way so that she can bandage him.
-----Raven moves among the downed orcs making sure none still live. A few times he is seen running his sword across a foul neck or plunging the weapon into an orc's chest. He hesitates at one and after looking at it with a disgusted expression, he sheaths his sword and pulls the unconscious orc to one side. He then begins tying its hands together and waits for it to come to.
-----Garrison relaxes as Sarah approaches him. He certainly seems winded as a large bloody wound graces his right side. As the young mage begins working with her herbs and bandages, the woodsman sighs, "Damn, it looks as if I need to start looking for better armor or learn to duck more." He nods his appreciation to her as he struggles to catch his breath.
-----Caranip searches among the humanoids' dead bodies. Strangely, she doesn't search their belongings, but rather she seems to be studying the orcs' faces. She occasionally straightens up perhaps a bit bothered by the ugliness of the creatures.
-----Strolum, Dilton and Pil stand to one side of the hill peering as quietly as they can toward the eastern ridge. After a few minutes, the warriors dash back to the others and Strolum says, "Ey! It's lookin' as if th' orkin army moved off!"
-----"Aye," Dilton adds, "n' things be lookin' quiet round th' castle."
-----"So, Raven, a'fore ye provided us with that welcome distraction, we were waiting fer ye word on how t'continue." Sol says as he surveys the carnage with some satisfaction. "Do ye reckon we should await nightfall an' sneak up on th' place, or just go fer broke an' make th' dash now?"
-----Raven motions to the one orc he spared. "Let's ask him what is going on around here." Raven crouches to inspect the orc closer, "He had the best equipment, so I thought he might know more than the rest." Raven stands back up and notices Rinda tending to the wolf. Raven frowns and then says to Sol, "Back in a minute." Raven heads off to check on the wolf and Rinda.
-----Rinda kneels beside the wolf and places her hands upon its injured back. Closing her eyes, the huntress says a prayer to the Great Hunter. Soon a warm glow appears at her hands and the wound on the wolf closes. A few moments more and the wolf is completely healed.
-----As Raven reaches her, Rinda pats the wolf's head and smiles weakly. "Oh Raven," she says wearily, "I did a foolish thing. That orc caught me unaware." She lays a hand across the bandage she has tied around her stomach.
-----Lovan's eyes are wide as he looks around the orcish bodies scattered on the hill. "How soon do we storm this castle?" he asks impatiently.
-----As Sarah finishes, Garrison gets down on one knee to rest momentarily. "Thank you, MiLady," he says and then a curious look comes over him. Looking up at the young mage, he asks, "Is that what I call you now?"
-----A look of concern crosses Raven 's face. He moves closer to get a look at the wound. Raven gives Rinda a weak smile, "Even a souless orc can get a lucky strike in once in a while."
-----Raven looks over to Garrison, "Rinda, can you call upon the Hunter's healing for Garrison?"
-----From his position in the saddle, Sol frowned slightly at Rinda's words. The crease in the Gorian's brow increased slightly at Raven's reaction, though his look became more thoughtful. Sol then twisted in a saddle to check Sarah over before turning and nudging Thunder into a slow walk towards the castle, intending to get another look at the place and see if anything had changed about it.
-----"I'm afraid I can't do much more than what Sarah has already done," Rinda replies softly. "The Great Hunter only gave me one chance to heal this day."
-----Caranip comes to stand beside Sarah and smiles silently at Garrison.
