-----Sol stood apart from everyone else as he surveyed the group and their various reactions. The smallest of smiles crept onto his face as Sarah replied to Lovan. In fact he was glad someone else stepped in to do so, though truth be told, the Gorian had largely gotten used to the Storm Priest's ways, and did not have the same reaction to the man's ways any longer.
-----However, Sol did not look at the remaining live orc. At all. To do so would remind the warrior of his own hypocrisy, and his thoughts and feelings did enough of that anyway.
-----Raven looks at Sarah for a moment and seems to be thinking over her point about the orc. Raven shakes his head, "I can not kill him. I said 'I' would not kill him if he answered my questions, which he did. I did not say I would let him go free though." Raven looks back at the orc, "I do not know what his fate will be. The Hunter will show the way." Raven shrugs his shoulders, "I suppose I should do something with him so the beast doesn't hurt our plans." Raven shoots the orc a cold stare. Raven thinks for a moment and then heads over to the orc. As he walks, he stops to grab one of the orc weapons.
-----Raven stops to study the orc and says something in orcish. As he speaks, Raven holds out in one hand the orc weapon and in the other a piece of rope. Those in the camp can tell Raven is giving the orc a choice. Fight or be a captive.
-----Raven drops the weapon in front of the orc and then throws the rope next to the weapon. After saying a word in orcish, Raven takes four steps back and then drops his hands to the swords on his belt.
-----Lovan remains quiet and seems focused on the exchange between Raven and the orc.
-----The humanoid listens intently to what the ranger has to say. It then slowly squats down and reaches forth. Its eyes dart up to Raven and then it looks down. Very quickly it grabs up the weapon and stands up in a defensive position. As it defends itself, it slowly edges backward.
-----Raven gives the orc a nod and then draws his swords. Raven advances on the orc quickly and attacks.
-----A thin veil of a choice. The moment the orc had reached for its weapon, its fate was sealed. Sol had no need to watch this exchange of blows, the outcome was certain in the Gorian's mind. As Raven leapt forward, Sol's head raised skyward as he lost himself in the clouds.
-----With seemingly no effort, Raven rushes into the humanoid and quickly pierces the orc's chest with his sword. The weapon drops from the humanoid's hand and the orc stares momentarily into the hunter's eyes. The orc's eyes glaze over and it slumps dead to the ground.
-----Strolum makes a sound of surprise and says to Raven, "That was quicker then me own eyes could follow! Ye might be showin' us some o' yer swordplay when ye have th' time!" He then looks over at Dilton and Pil who seem just as amazed in the short fight as the red-headed warrior.
-----Dilton then looks at the receding light in the sky and croaks, "Best we be a'lightin' th' fire!"
-----Raven's wolf sniffs at the dead orc and then trots over to Raven wagging its tail.
-----Looking at Raven and Sol, Rinda asks, "As this night draws on, where do we all need to be? Some of the orcs could come out to look at this campfire."
-----Garrison sits down resting momentarily from the work he had done while still sporting his wounds. "Maybe if we see company coming from the keep, we could have those with bows and the lady wizards behind some kind of cover."
-----Sarah cringes as Raven runs the orc through. Normally in combat she is either too preoccupied to notice the actual killing, or too afraid for the lives of her companions to feel anything but relief when they conquer the foes. This time it was different. Sarah puts a hand on Raven's shoulder. "That was probably more than it deserved," She said, probably more for her own benefit than the hunters.
-----"Well, perhaps those who have decided to place orcish clothing upon themselves could sit around the campfire with the fire between you and the castle so that your handsome faces don't give you away. If you slouch over and push each other around you could probably pass as orcs at a distance."
-----Sarah glances at the sides of the clearing where the fire will be lit. "And if the rest of us are just off to the side, I'm sure Rinda and Raven and Garrison know how to camouflage us in the trees. We could wait for their approach and I could toss a fireball at them to get things started. Then all heck breaks loose."
-----"Don't ye need t'be resting yer magic up fer th' storming on th' keep, Sarah?" Sol asks as he gestures Dilton, Pil and Strolum towards their seats near the fire. He himself seats himself with his back to the keep, internally hoping that he'd be the first into any fray. "Also, perhaps those in cover can take th' horses with them. They'll need t'be out o' sight as well."
-----"I thought the plan was to attack at dawn. Unless the special troops arrive very late at night I should be able to cast spells to help you and still have time for rest." Sarah says confidently.
-----"Sounds good, though it might alert the . . . Ah stuff it, once that lot doesn't come back, they'll be ready fer anything." Sol replies.
