-----Like Sarah, Sol finally sees a potential target, and now he seeks to carve him a path to the impressive half-orc.
-----Sol brings his sword high over his head to bring it down on the skull of an approaching orc to his left. Just as he brings it forward, the hilt slips from his grasp and the Lathanian blade falls just a few feet off to his side. The young warrior scrambles for it as some of the humanoids jeer at him.
-----Meanwhile, Raven rips into two more orcs, barely giving them room to breathe their last breath. The hunter remains somewhat careful as the ever-widening pool of blood grows larger at his feet.
-----Garrison quickly takes advantage of Raven's fury to grasp hold of the net. Luckily, the wolf is the first to emerge to meet the woodsman as he lifts the strong weighted covering. The wolf dashes out in a fury looking for the first available enemy to attack. Suddenly, Garrison sees the light of orcish eyes focusing on him from those still covered by the netting. With a shrug and a smile, the woodsman drops the netting listening to the startled gasps of those beneath it once again. Garrison draws forth his battleaxe again and commences to use its flat edge to batter the contained orcs senseless.
-----An underling near the half-orcish commander gazes wide-eyed at the opening torn through the front doors of the keep. With a shrill growing voice, it shouts, "A witch! The humans have a witch with them!"
-----"Fight, you maggots! There are only a few of them!" the armored half-orc gruffly shouts through the haze of sword clashes and dying voices.
-----In the next moment, a trio of shimmering rainbow flecked discs fly through the opening, spinning wildly for the back stairway. Straight for the half-orcish commander they streak who stares at them with squinting angered eyes. With a defiant grunt, he brings his shield up at the last moment, which gleams with its own darkness.
-----The first spinning disc spins with a quickness that looks as if it could cut through the hardest metal. It impacts with the dark shield and rebounds straight up into the shadowed vault of the ceiling. The second one the commander catches with his shield and deflects it off toward the right wall. With the shield somewhat lowered, the third disc splits into seven separately colored disc which immediately begin to maddeningly spin around the half-orc. For a moment, the commander watches the swirling chaos happening around him. Just as quickly, he closes his eyes and raising his arms, he shouts out a defiant battle cry. Amazingly, the swirling rainbow pattern around him vanishes!
-----"Archers to me!" the commander yells in a fury, "The witch must die!"
-----Raven quickly whips a blade across another humanoid throat and pauses as he watches about a dozen of the orcs disengage themselves from the tide of battle. They quickly begin to assemble close to the commander on the stairs. He steps over the orc he just killed and prepares for his next attack. Between the position of his friends and him, Raven can see that there must be lines at least seven orcs thick between them and the commander.
-----Sol dives for his sword, captures it and spins just in time to impale an orc standing over him. The young warrior jumps up before he can be surrounded.
-----Lovan delivers another blow from his warhammer to an orc's chest. Even though it was given solidly, the impact probably did little more than badly bruise the humanoid.
-----Now, the orcs begin weighing in more heavily. Sol effectively parries two axe blades from orcs frustrated with the ancient blade the Stormbringer wields.
-----Suddenly two large soldiers hack in at the hunter. Raven takes a rip across his chest and a well-placed slam just below his ribs. The hunter keeps focused although he now looks injured.
-----Lovan, after missing a swipe from a searching axe, receives a brutal chop to his shoulder scratching up his skin under his scale mail.
-----Raven's rage continues as he attacks the orcs. Raven focuses his attacks on the orcs that hurt him.
-----The loss of the sword may at one stage irritated Sol beyond all belief, but he was enjoying himself far too much to care. Reclaiming the blade had just been another challenge. The enjoyment ended when the half-orc threatened Sarah. With another blood-fueled roar, Sol rushes the orcs directly in between himself and the enemy leader, his blade being swung with little subtlety, rising and falling in powerful, precise strokes.
-----"Kill the witch, kill the witch." Sarah mutters under her breath. "Get used to hearing people say that, Caranip." Sarah decides to take action and spurs Marlexana into the inner area. She quickly takes account of the area, and tries to see if there is enough space to cast her deadliest spell.
-----"A witch!" Caranip squeaks excitedly, "If they want a witch, we'll give them one!" She then starts working up her own spell.
