-----As the orcs try to regroup around the advancing heroes, Sol cleaves the skull of an orcish soldier as it tries to raise its axe.
-----Raven slashes twice with his right arm and both times he kills another humanoid.
-----Surrounding orcs try to retaliate but they miss both the hunter and the Gorian. One orc even loses his weapon.
-----Just as Sol and Raven see an opening in front of them, a small company of orcs takes the stairs between the paralyzed commander and the one-eyed orc. Quickly they begin loading crossbows.
-----Lovan successfully fends off the spears from two separate orcs as he prepares to strike offensively. Garrison parries one spear, but another orc manages to get in close enough to strike. Suddenly the woodsman is badly wounded with a spear to his stomach.
-----With a couple of leaping strides, Sol stands toe to toe with the two orcs guarding the half-orcish commander. Just as he raises his sword, four magic missiles blast into one of guards, hurting it. Sol adds to its injured state by immediately stabbing it. His quick recoil and slash lightly injures the other guard.
-----The cat and Raven's wolf keep many of the orcs back. Although they make no contact with the orcs, the cat delivers a vicious bite to one of the enemy.
-----Raven jabs in with his left hand, downing an orc and maintaining the opening toward the stairs.
-----Lovan misses one of his attackers with another wild swing while Garrison slams his blade into one of the orcs facing him. The woodsman then tries to strike the other foe, but his injured state causes him to miss.
-----It seemed that the two half-orc's guards were a cut above the rest, which suited Sol just fine. He lashed out at both of them, letting them know that neither was safe.
-----Raven pauses as he coldly studies the orcs in front of him. His face at first is hard as stone, but then a snarl like smile crosses his face. Raven says in a low growl, "Come on and feel the bite of the Hunter." He surges forward to help Sol move towards the leader.
-----Sol's first strike brings the Lathanian blade against an orcish shield. The guard who is yet to be bloodied snarls at the young warrior as he lowers his shield and prepares to swing his sword.
-----Sarah is not at all happy that her magic missiles could not even fell one orc. She takes a deep breath and concentrates, and sends a second volley at the one-eyed orc. The magic rockets across the chamber and streaks up the stairs, maneuvering around the guards and archers. With a flurry of multiple flashes, the missiles strike the one-eyed orc hurting it. Immediately the magically glowing spear hovers in place for a moment and then vanishes.
-----The large cat growls as it tries to rake out with a sharp claw and misses the wary orcs that stand against it.
-----Raven leaps forward wounding the orc guard that Sarah had blasted the previous round. The Hunter's sword slashes into the dark chain mail drawing a cry of pain from the humanoid.
-----Lovan curses as he fails to connect with the nearest orc again. He holds his stance preparing to fend off what he can.
-----The orcs surrounding the large cat back up as the creature snaps at them and misses. With their spears, the orc continue to stab at the cat as if to coax it into a trap.
-----Sol finally lands a blow against the uninjured guard drawing the snarl from its face. The orc steps back, its sword arm badly scratched up.
-----Raven rips into the blasted guard once more and suddenly the orc is wavering on its feet; its wounds now turning critical. Raven's wolf leaps in and finishes off the guard; the canine's jaws locked on the humanoid's throat.
-----Raven lunges out with his left sword arm and stabs the guard facing Sol. The Hunter's blade hurts the orc with a deep cut into the region where the arm meets the shoulder. The orc grimaces in pain, but continues to stand in front of its held commander.
-----The cat moves forward missing the foes in front of it, but sadly it is drawn into a devious position by the orcs. Quickly a spear reaches in and lightly stabs the cat. Luckily, a humanoid loses control of its own seeking spear and the cat is able to back away from any further probing weapons.
-----The orc facing Garrison jabs in again, this time dealing a critical stab to the woodsman's already bleeding abdomen. Garrison is able to strike with his battleaxe slashing the orc across the middle, which drops it to its knees.
-----"Sarah," Garrison gasps weakly, "move away. I don't know how much longer I can hold these off." Garrison swings his axe one more time, but misses. He sways on his feet and the color drains from his face.
